Tomorrow morning I'm heading to Seattle to leave Sunday on a cruise to Alaska. I live in Virginia so it's far away but I heard Alaska is awesome and can't wait! I'm going ziplining up there as well as going to see some glaciers! Should be great plus I've never been on a cruise ship before I'm sure there is so much to do on the boat itself. Anyone ever been on one of these before?

Never done a cruise but I have heard Alaska is very nice. Bring us back some smoked Salmon and have some fun.

I've never traveled north on a cruise... only south

Should be great though - Alaska from what I hear is a spectacular place. Enjoy it and watch out for bears!

i was on a cruise like that 4 years ago. It was Holland America Cruise Lines. We started in Seattle and made our way north to alaska. Hope you have/had fun!

I went on a SF to Alaska cruise a couple of years ago on Princess.

They had a night club (we didn't go...we're too old!), gym, spa, and a small casino.

Buy the "soda" pass...

Relax and enjoy the pool and food...the formal dinners I dislike since you have to sit with other people you don't know (but have a chance to make new friends).

I love taking pictures tho!

I wasn't a fan of salmon before the trip, but I am now. That stuff never tasted so good!!!

It had some great scenery, but sadly I didn't see any bears. I didn't even see a whale but a lot of other people said they did.

Sounds just like my cruise! The night club was a great time, even my older relatives got out there and danced! The spa would have been nice but it was pricy, and the casino is no Las Vegas but still fun. I did not buy the soda pass but it is a good deal. I ended up spending a lot of money on alcohol instead! The food was the best part I would say! I ate so much it was awesome. It just kept on coming!!! Luckily we always sat with family members since there was a total of 21 of us so it worked out great! I will try to put up some pictures in the near future, I still haven't had time to upload them to my computer since I have worked 7 straight days since I returned.

That is the best part because family members don't judge you as hash when you eat like a pig. We went with friends and their family so we sat at the same oceanview table each night together which allowed us to order TWO entries almost every night!

Glad I don't drink adult beverages...some folks alcohol tabs were greater than the cost of the trip!!! That's just way too much...glad there wasn't any driving whew!
