Hey guys, thought I would finally make a thread for autographs I get at games or the occasional signing. I would say for the past 4 years that obtaining autographs has become a big part of my life. I mostly get basketball and baseball, largely basketball lately. I have over 900 autographs (believe it or not) and had nearly 300 autographs last basketball season. So far this season I've gotten guys like Dwight Howard, Dirk Nowitzki, John Wall, Brandon Roy and hopefully I'll get Blake Griffin when I goto the game Friday night. I'll post pics of a few things later on but right now I'll start off with a signing my friend and I attended last night. We went to see Nets PF Kris Humphries at a car dealership and I got 2 cards and the yearbook signed.

OK guys it's been some time but here's an update. So today I decided to go to Opening Day for the Newark Bears, a minor league team in the Can-Am league. This year they moved over from the Atlantic League, which is a higher level of minor league ball. Their new league favors younger players. So...the Bears lost because of a 6-run 10th inning but I still enjoyed the game. I also caught a foul ball. This is the first time I got a ball at any game! Well here's how I did (these are all coaches):

I've gotten Tim a few times in the past. I asked him to personalize it to me. I also asked if he could put 7 time all-star and he said no. But that's fine. I saw Damian signing a little after the game but I had nothing for him. I figured, hey why not have him sign the ball I caught? It's just a Can-Am ball so it fits.

Well guys right now I'm on my way to a Newark Bears game, just got on the 1st bus. I've really been debating whether I should go because there's a chance of t-storms and showers but I'm rolling the dice for today. My main target for today is Bill Buckner, manager for the Brockton Rox. Wish me luck with everything. And I just realized I forgot my camera!

OK guys so the worst that I was hoping wouldn't happen happened. RAIN with some t-storms. Game was supposed to start at 5.35 but instead a couple hours later. I won't be here very long but I got everyone I was looking to get, especially the 2 I wanted from Buckner. Will update later.

So here's how I did. First let me do a little intro.

I noticed Bill Buckner was coach for Brockton. I remembered a few weeks ago I made a simple custom 8x10 for the '86 Mets to sign, whenever I get a chance. I wasn't sure if I should actually get him to sign it. I did a little research and I've seen him sign his error photo with Mookie Wilson already on it. So I'd just see if he would mind signing it.

I got Brandon Watson just before it started to downpour. I would say an hour later after the rain fully cleared, I spotted Bill Buckner. I got him on a baseball and then after he signed for someone else I asked if he'd mind signing my 8x10. I think he rolled his eyes a little but he let out a little smile. Then I got Mike Torrez on 2 cards. When I gave him the 2nd card he jokingly said, "You are asking for just a little too much" and smiled. Then after I got Jim Leyritz.

As I said before, the game finally went underway 2 hours after it originally should have. I was hoping the game would end up being postponed so I could use the ticket for another game. I left in the 3rd inning after I got a foul ball thrown to me. I didn't want to get home very late. I'll try and get pics up tomorrow. Thanks for following along.

On my way to Citi Field to try and get the Yankees and Mets outside. This week has been slow and boring so decided to just do this. Hopefully this goes well and I can get a star at least...

Wasn't even aware Leiter was a broadcaster so that was a nice surprise. Bay didn't sign but I heard he usually does. Beltran and Reyes also didn't sign. Oh and Cano only signed a few. Only saw a handful of Yanks, like Grand, Cano & Eric Chavez. I also missed Ron Darling because I saw "Help Me Howard" from Pix11 (for any of you NY area people). Gotta picture with him. I'll post pics of what I got as soon as I can. As always, thanks for following along.

Just thought I would mention this. I was looking through the cards before I put em away and I noticed something interesting about one of em. The stats on the back of Scott Hairston's 2008 UD are actually Jerry Hairston Jrs'. So there, mystery solved...

Well guys looks like I could be going to 4 games in the next five days. Here's how the lineup's looking:

Monday: Mets vs Marlins

Sunday I'll most likely be going. It's "Legends Sunday" and they will have some "Legend" so I'll have to see who that'll be. For Monday my friend is supposed to get Field Level seats cheap from someone so I'll find out today if he gets them. Today there's no one big I'm going after, just gonna enjoy the game and try to get some baseballs. Wish me luck!
