Item #2 - A Basketball grab bag
I absolutely love grab bags and try to get at least one or two every time I go to a swap meet or flea market. Along with the element of surprise and variety of cards, you get a nice bag to carry your lunch to work in the next day ........... A win win
I picked this one up a few weeks ago at a flea market in Bowling Green and paid only a dollar for it and, other then the fact I don't really collect basketball, it turned out to be a pretty good bag (value wise)
The first card I pulled out was a Lionel Chalmers Rookie Review Upper Deck Jersey Card which really blew me away because you usually don't get jersey cards in a grab bag
Then I got 4 1969/70 Topps Basketball cards - card #19 Tom Meschery, #72 Tom Sanders, #69 Ray Scott, and a #66 Jim King ............. In mint condition these cards are selling on EBay for about $40/$50 but mine are in fair condition so I would guess their value at about $5 per card
The Jim King card is kind of confusing because it has Cincinnati on the front. Was there a team in Cincinnati or is this his college/rookie card??
Finally, I got 7 1976/77 Topps Basketball cards ......... They are in rough condition and look like they were taped in a book or something but still nice cards.
Overall, the value of this grab bag is $25
