I'm just curious...

Do any of you currently own or work at a card shop? unsure.gif

If so, let us know by giving a plug for your shop. wink.gif

Oh, that lovely word... Spam...

Here we refer to it as open communication between collectors about hobby resources. wink.gif

I write all the eBay auctions, buy & sell Sportscards, I do not sell Yu-Gi-Oh! Although if we didn't, the shop would have gone under long ago!

Yes, that seems to be true for many hobby shops. The one that is closest to where I live barely has any sports cards anymore. There are plenty of the gaming cards though.

My shop:

Heroes & Legends Sports Cards and Collectibles
Hwy 111 Mini Mall
Cookeville, TN 38506
931-260-6578 (Cell)
heroes_and_legends@hotmail.com

Opened in 2002. I have tripled my sales and doubled the shop size since then. I'm inside of a huge Mini Mall/Flea Market so I'm only open on weekends. I'm looking toward another expansion in the next 3-5 years.

Funny you should ask. I am actually working with a friend with an MIS degree to set me one up. Hopefully it will be fully functional before Christmas.

Do you know where Bob's Collectibles is? I went to a basketball camp at Tennessee Tech, and we passed it everday going to the different gyms and stuff. We even said hey to Bob. tongue.gif

Cool. I graduated from TTU in 2000. I've known Bob for over 20 years. Bob's Collector's Den has been in business here since the early 80s. Bob doesn't have a great deal of new singles, virtually no game-used or autos, but has always had a lot of nice vintage singles. He pushes the high end wax and MTG cards now more than anything.

According to Google Maps, Winchester is about 85 miles from Cookeville. It's about a 2-hour trip, heading southeast.

That's really cool. I wanted to go in the shop, but we had 3-4 games a day, and when we weren't playing, we were either eating or sleeping. tongue.gif

Yes, I'm familiar with Winchester. Franklin County is about a two hour drive from me. It is in southern Tennessee past Tullahoma near the Alabama line. I am almost half way between Nashville and Knoxville. Right in the middle of the state.

Ohhh!!! I like that combination. Two birds with one stone. I can get me a nice rod and reel combo and a box of cards all at the same time. Talk about a money pit.
