Tell them to log out and try. I haven't been there in a while and really have no use to since their BV is bologna and not a prospector.

The problem is their value tracking servers are having issues they cant handle the drop in Eli Mannings card values from the Beckett pushed numbers to sudden real world value of 12 bucks and a carton of smokes.
I cant wait to see what happens when Reggie Bush proves to merely be human, their servers should explode with that sudden devalue critical mass.

There must be a DNS server that's having issues on the net right now. Hopefully they fix it soon because it's a hassle not having the ability to price check right now. lol

Had this problem last night. Tracked it down to DNS as well, couldn't tell if it was my ISP's DNS server or further up the pipe.
Here is my quick ducktape solution:
On Win2000/WinXP open C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc\hosts with notepad or another text editor. On a new blank line at the bottom at the following - 63.241.238.222 TAB over and enter www.beckett.com
Save the file and go to the Start menu, hit run and enter "nbtstat -R". A black box should pop up and close. Beckett should work after that.
Don't forget to remove that line down the road.

For all of us nonprogrammers out here can we expect this problem to be selfcorrecting or is Beckett a thing of the past, I use the pricing info quite a lot & would hate to be without it. I can't get any Beckett site to come up on my P/C or Laptop. What has caused this problem and if it can happen using Beckett what's to stop it from spreading?

I can sure try
Everything on the internet has an address, but when the computers talk to each other it is simpler for them use a number system for the address. Of course a bunch of numbers is not easy for humans to remember so we use a system called DNS ( domain nameing system ). It allows use to names for websites. We type in the name and our computer makes a request to the DNS system to figure out what the IP address is, from then on it just uses the IP address. Well there are multiple layers to this DNS system so if one DNS server doesn't work you're not out of luck. One layer resides on each computer, the hosts file. It's nothing more than a list of website names and IP addresses that match those names. It's the first thing that is checked when you enter in a website address. If there is a match in there the DNS lookup doesn't go past your PC. SO what this fix does is override the DNS system.
Now as to what issues in the future this could cause there is only one. If for some reason becketts website changes it's IP address ( not likely in the short term ) you would no longer be able to reach it.
I would guess that you should be able to delete that line in a weeks time and everything should be fine by then.

This should self correct itself in a matter of a couple days. The root cause is either your ISP, or someone further up the system.
Just a quick question, for those of you who had issues last night. How many of you have Time Warner Cable / Road Runner for internet?
