Nice of them to offer it to those that can't make it to the Expo, looks like free shipping if over $50 if in the US. Prices a smidge higher depending on product (I don't follow other sports enough anymore to have any idea except for Hockey by glancing at it).

There is some nice cards in those packs, some links to pics on their Blog at bottom of article. Just nice of them to include folks that can't go there, guess I'm still mad at UD for their OPC Wrapper program that is only available to folks in Canada.

I could be wrong, but I thought the boxes were overpriced compared to what you could get them for at an online store.

Yeah the Select was like $10 more as DA's price had gone up since presale.....I just thought I'd give it a try on one. Just thought it was nice that they made it available for folks that couldn't be at Expo. Unlike UD and their OPC Wrapper program that was available only in Canada again this year wink.gif...So I just refused to buy any or build the OPC set this year, like they even noticed laugh.gif just the principle of the whole thing to me.

Yeah, the Select when I initially checked was roughly $20 more as is the 12-13 Rookie Anthology at $90 vs. $70 online. Being that they produced the products (lowest cost base), I was expecting them to be more competitive on the prices. Mind you not undersell, but maybe be only a few $ higher.

Yeah looking at the Select now it is only a $5 difference, so for the extra packs probably worth the try. Who knows maybe you will hit something good.

PS Yes I agree it is good to see this type of thing offered to US Hockey Collectors, maybe someday UD will realize that we exist too! laugh.gif

All the companies seem to be higher on their websites (when they do sell at all), UD is usually Retail stuff and it is priced way higher. Can understand they don't want to undercut the dealers, but you think they could be more competitive with Retail even if the same idea. Guess we may find out Friday as package will be here then or Monday according to tracking (it keeps changing laugh.gif go FedEx laugh.gif ) what I got in the bonus packs. But there has been some nice stuff in the ones I have seen at CnC, Rookie AUs and the like.

Their excuse on Facebook was that they do things for the US collectors exclusively too, like the Hockey Card Day (umm you do that in Canada and did it there first) or the All Star Games (yeah but only if you go to the game so that leaves out lots of folks), any thing else I have seen hasn't been with Hockey Cards unless I'm missing all these special deals. So I just boycotted OPC this year and just did the Score set, but like I said I doubt they even noticed not selling those 3 or 4 boxes laugh.gif

I remember them, they did a lot a few years back. Superboxes of products, those were nice and fun to open.
