July Low Budget Football Break Club

I've hosted this break in the past, and decided to start it back up in July. I went ahead and started the thread early, though, since this is the first month and we needed a little extra time to get the spots filled.

Box Selection

Card Distribution

Cards will be distributed by one of the following methods, in this order:

1) Team printed (text or logo) on the card.
2) Team pictured on the uniform.
3) Team the player currently plays for.
4) Team the player played for longest.

Multi-team cards will go to the member who has the most owned teams on the card. If that doesn't decide it, it goes to the member with the most total teams featured on the card. If that can't determine it, it will be decided at random.org (between teams on the card only).

Cards from old teams that simply moved to a new town will be given to the owner of the team that they moved to (ie. Houston Oilers = Tennesee Titans).

Cards from unselected teams will be randomed between all members.

Shipping

All "hits" will be placed in toploaders, magnetics, or screwdowns. Everything else goes in a team bag, wrapped in a single layer of bubble wrap. All of that is sent in a bubble mailer, with delivery confirmation (where available).

What you are purchasing, by entering the group break, is the opportunity to participate in the group and any cards that come with that opportunity.

Question:

What happens to the two left over teams after the random?

And what if people wanna swap random teams?

And what if one of the two are super nice?, wouldn't be fair if someone could swap a not so good team for a very good team like BAM!! swapped imo..

All of the base cards from each leftover team will be given away to a random member as 2 separate lots. Then, all inserts and hits will be given away individually to random members.

I'm not sure of a fair way to have everyone be able to swap out for the leftover teams. Really the only way to do it would be to allow 48 hours for all members who are interested to let us know, and we do a random. Then, what if someone else is interested in the team that they swapped out for the leftover team? Then we'd need to do it all over again.

Since this isn't a 100% random break, and everyone is getting to choose their picked team, I say we just leave everything else as a simple random. Ultimately, any way we do it it's going to come down to random luck on everything but your picked team anyways.

The boxes for this break have been ordered. I'll update again once I get a date for box arrival. Also, since I haven't heard from ByronsCards, and nobody else has shown interest in his spot I'm going to go ahead and take it with the Bengals.

That puts us at full, and all paid, so I will do the random for the remaining teams tonight.
