Well, here are the reasons I think it was...
Design... hate it
Price... ridiculous
sticker autographs
weak patches... and I do mean weak... and small while we are it...
Redemptions out the wahoo...
And they delayed release on this because....?
Awful, awful product....

Tell me how you really feel.

I am not defending this product, but I don't think it was the worst IMO.
Did you buy any?
I did not, but got in a group break on this and thought some of it was weak, but some of it was nice that was pulled, and some stuff like the encased rookies was way too high numbered at that price point. Still I liked some of the designs and some of what was pulled.
Yes this was pricey, as is most stuff now days. We have fueled the manufacturers to provide for the gamblers and speculators hoping to hit the lottery in a box of cards. We created the monster that feeds off our $ and creates these high-end rip-offs!
Yes way too many redemption as I am sitting on two and saw quite a few pulled. Too many pulled, but it appears Panini is doing a lot of that this year with all it's products.
Yes, sticker autos plagued this product, but they also plague the industry, its the easy way for manufacturers to complete cards without risking damage. Right or wrong it is what it is and I am guessing we are going to be seeing more of this.
Patch size and coloring, did not think were too bad, but did see some one color ones which is just wrong for this type of product (or any product). As for the size I don't mind them being smaller if there is a decent image of the player. I can't stand ITG's product where you get a swatch that is 80% of the card and then a player name, to me that just looks stupid no matter how nice the swatch. I'd rather see 75% of the card covered with a picture of the player making that memorable goal, touchdown, etc. than a huge oversized swatch.
Overall, did this product fail? I don't think so, I think it came up short in many ways and better in others. Hopefully, they will get it right for next year.
