I just got back from the July 2010 Hollywood show in Burbank, CA. It was definitely the worst autograph line-up in the 5 years I've been attending, and to make matters worse, about 10 of the 77 guests cancelled at the last moment including the top two stars, George Hamilton and Angie Dickinson.

I only picked up two in-person autos, so I used the rest of my cash to pick up some autos from dealers.

Here's my haul:

Cool stuff! Why would they write the prices in the corners on the cut autos, just put them in a sandwich baggie! smile.gif tongue.gif Neat stuff though!

Yeah, I don't understand why he does that either. The Mel Brooks one is annoyingly written in pen so I can't even erase it. However, the price was too good to pass up.

Wow, I've never seen what Dickie Moore looked like after he was about 7 years old. He was creepy! biggrin.gif

I just got back from the February 2011 Hollywood Show in Burbank, CA. I'm lucky I was able to get my most wanted auto as the top draw Robert Blake (making his first autograph show appearance) decided to leave after only signing for a little over an hour. Here's my in-person autograph haul.

Actually, they're the reason I started going to autograph shows. When Butch and Porky (two of the most consistent autograph signers) died within a month of each other about 6 years ago, I realized I needed to start getting to these shows before I miss more of my favorites.

I just got back from the April 2011 Hollywood Show.

Not a large crowd, but I waited 2 hours and 10 minutes for Martin Landau due to some people wanting as many as 70 items signed. They eventually decided they needed to speed up the line and imposed a 10 item limit.

Joey Lawrence cancelled at the last minute.

It varies based on the show you attend (some celebs charge more at comic cons and horror conventions), but at this show, I paid $20-25 each.
The most I've paid is $40 each for Adam West and Billy Dee Williams, and the least I've paid is $10 each for Davy Jones and Tom Lester. The most expensive I've seen is William Shatner at $75, although I've heard some celebs charge as much as $125.

interesting! What was Swain in? Im not familiar with her work!

Her most famous movies are Face/Off and Lolita, however I'm a fan of her in Happy Campers, Tart, and Plain Dirty.

That Landau is way cool!

I went to the Anaheim Comic Con yesterday. It wasn't nearly as good as last years and I mostly picked up in-person autos from people who I've passed up in the past, but it was still a fun way to spend a day.
