The title says it all wink.gif

How many Collecting focuses have you had?

For me:
-Playoff Contenders Rookie Tickets
-Anthony Gonzalez
-2007 Topps Chrome rookie auto's (for a day wink.gif).
-A.J. Hawk - Consistent
-Kamerion Wimbley - Consistent
-Otto Graham - Consistent

-Maurice Jones-Drew
-Ahmad Bradshaw (short lived collection)
-Attempting to do a '19th Century Indiana Jones' style PC of Brian Brohm.

thought this would be a fun idea...I'm sure I've had more, but these are the first that come to mind.
ffman
Currently:

- Sammy Sosa
- David Wright
- 500 HR Club
- Tennessee Titans in general
- Titans patches

Too many different directions. I can't recall my major "focuses" early in my collecting "career". I've always liked to hold my rookies from baseball, however.
Iplayfootball_90
Where to begin? haha I've had a lot of collecting focuses through out my two years here.

Jay Cutler
Jeremy Bloom
John Carlson autos (only ever made one trade for one)
Notre Dame grad autos
Brady Quinn (still going)
Tyrone Calico (still going)
Dallas Cowboys (Troy Aikman preferably)
David Carr
Chipper Jones
2006 Sage HIT football base set (completed it)

Half of them lasted for a few days and others, I never could get anything of because of the steep price on some of it.
PSquared
I've been all over the place since I decided to dump most of my Celtics stuff, after the NBA Finals. Except for a few Paul Pierce cards, and Bill Russell/Red Auerbach auto'd pieces.

Currently:

Chris Bosh
Renaldo Balkman
Jameer Nelson
Luol Deng
Salim Stoudamire

I started collecting Bosh after meeting him at a fundraiser in my city, Balkman after meeting him on a flight a few years back, and the rest I've always enjoyed there play since college, and figured to start collecting them.

Past collections:

Ken Griffey JR
DeAngelo Hall
Michael Vick
Deion Sanders
Chad Johnson

Lost focus on all after they got way to expensive to collect, except for Hall which never had any focus from the beginning.

Thanks Dave

Will Clark - was and is my main collecting focus.

I also collect smooshed pennies, the ones that imprint images onto them that you see at touristy places. I don't go crazy buying them up on Ebay and stuff, but whenever I travel I keep an eye out for the machines.

In the past I collected Mark Langston, Rickey Henderson, David Robinson, Brett Hull, and Barry Sanders. Clark's the only one that has stood the test of time (and money wink.gif). I also briefly collected stamps, and I have some REALLY old coins.

Smooshed pennies eh? Is that the technical term smile.gif A friend of mine visited Hawaii once and went to Pearl Harbor. He brought along a pocket full of 1941 pennies and his souvenirs to everyone were the smooshed 1941 pennies with the USS Arizona memorial on the back and you could still make out the date on the front. Best souvenir I ever got from anyone.

As far as the cards go I have only seriously collected Packers cards. Back when I was opening boxes I tried some sets (mostly insert sets) but I never bought enough boxes of any one product to complete any and I wasn't about to spend actual money on them when I could be buying Packers cards with it. Now its Packers only.

sebredsox24
My main focus is all Paul Pierce, Kevinn Garnett, and Ray Allen cards. I also collect all Red Sox, Cowboys, current/legend Celtics, and UCONN alumni. This is all I have ever collected and all I foresee myself collecting.
