I used to sell a lot, at least 5 years ago. I got out of it for a while. Then last year I decided to try and start back up and the selling process was so radically different (I'm talking just listing stuff) that I got frustrated and just gave up.

I'm not but I have had thoughts about starting to sell. I've only bought in the past. Is it worth selling cards on eBay with all the fees and s/h costs? I do want to make some money off of my cards if I sell them so I need to know if it's worth all the time and effort. Thanks.

Well, it all depends on volume. Some sellers list hundreds of cards a month while others list a few every week. Also depends on the nature of your cards. If they are high-end cards, you might wanna consider using some of the listing extras to make your listing stand out amongst the thousands on Ebay. However, this costs quite a bit of money and isn't very practical if your cards are worth $5 - $30 IMO.

Lastly, be prepared to take a hit in terms of the price your cards could finish....typically anywhere from 30% - 60% lower than their actual BV. Again, depends on alot of factors....I once had a basic jsy card actually end $12 ABOVE it's listed BV because two bidders were trying to outdo each other....which was silly for them, but good for me!

As a basic rule, because I'm not a huge card dealer and I don't have 1000s of cards, I make it a point to only sell cards that I can easily live without. That way, it doesn't hurt as much if a $40 auto finishes at $4.25!!

To me, it's worthwhile! I at least get a little $$ back to spend on more packs!!
