And you find out it's not a steal at all?

I got BV $20 for i believe $11 shipped, but @ the time I thought I had got a steal. Then I got registed with Beckett.com

I'm not gonna worry bout it tho, at least I got an auto. its tough to get them at a decent price and the bidding was only $8 for my winning bid. It's the SH and that kills man! When you're not spending much on a card, that is.

Like sometimes I buy Kirilenko base cards or Chrome Refractors, and pay more for shipping than I do for the card!!

That's got to be my two biggest pet peeves:

1) Finding out post-bid, that youre not getting a steal

This has happend not once, but twice, to me. I first spent $20 on a BV $20 Lebron b/c I misinterpreted what card it was. Then this with the Jarrett Jacks I posted about in the trade forum. The Lebron was the worse of the two , because I thought I was getting a $150 for $20, but that just wasn't the case!

2) Spending more on shipping than you do on the item

This has happ'ned a lot! It's cuz I buy a lot of Kirilenko and i win some auctions for under $2.00...

Most importantly is if you are happy with the card or not IMO...

Very true, but it's always a shame when you overpay for something or think you got a deal and find out otherwise.

Oh well, now I usually use the beckett to check to make sure I'm not bidding too much. Before it was just total guesswork!
