I have always been a fan of Panini/Donruss Products. More so than Topps and Upperdeck. My favorite product is 2006 National Treasures! Whenever I see a good price on 2006 National Treasures I will buy a box or 2. As we all know the redemptions in this product are expired. I have always heard good things about Panini honoring expired redemptions so I thought I would give it a try. I sent in 2 expired redemptions from 2006 National Treasures to see what I would get back. The expired redemptions I sent in are as follows:

06 National Treasures Rookie Signature Prime Mtaerials Platinum #118 Brian Calhoun Numbered to 1!

06 national Treasures 75th Anniversary Team Signatures # 8 Steve Van Buren numbered to 10!

Well I scanned what they sent me. Very confusing to me. I am guessing the Joe Perry numbered to 99 is supposed to be the replacement card for the "No Autograph" Steve Van Buren, which is numbered to 15 by the way.It is not even numbered to 10 like the original redemption said. I am scratching my head as to why they even sent the Steve Van Buren card with "No Autograph". I guess I am happy that they did send me the 1/1 Brian Calhoun

Thanks for looking!

Brian Calhoun 1/1!

Me too, love Donruss but that's just plain weird blink.gif

But real nice 1/1 though and the Perry's not bad either cool.gif

well that is cool!

They issue the no auto cards for people building the set. It also carries some value to someone who collects that player, so that is why they do it.

PS those are nice expired redemptions, cannot complain about getting something when you might have gotten nothing from other manufacturers.

Donruss has regularly put out "no auto" versions of cards for set builders.

There are some no auto Sean Taylor cards out there from his rookie season that sold very highly in the months after his death.

Very cool of them. Better than the UD or Topps that say sorry we cant redem your card.
osufan2383
sweet stuff they have been doing that with all of those no auto cards it looks like because someone else had that happen to them
