I mailed a package to a guy that purchased a card. Checked the DC # and it showed as DLVD on Saturday. I get a message from the guy saying he never got the package on Monday afternoon so i checked the DC # and it then showed as refused. Package came back to me last night with a slit in the bubble mailer and no card in it.

I have just had the best of luck with ebay this week rolleyes.gif

DC doesnt get hand delivered just bar code scanned.

its possible buyer slit envelope removed it and then took it to post office as refused.. or card found its way into a five finger discount for a postal carrier!

Either way you are on the hook for a refund . USPS will claim it did its job!

great. I think i am done with ebay forever after this debacle.

yea, i just really hate the post office anymore. did you ever hear about the post man the stole a green monster box of silver dollars, it has 500 i think, but it was worth like $25,000. he got caught but, blink.gif sorry for the loss, hope it works out for you. if he files a claim, i would fight it! because you can show it was delivered or attempted, but that still might not work idk unsure.gif

and by the way the post office is no longer owned by the govement, its now a private cooperation!!!!! just so you know. in other words they can do what they want!

i thought about getting a ton of people together and sueing the crap out of them!!!

Next time brother, just add insurance. Anything over $25 and I add it free.

Take care.

I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe doubling the package (envelope inside an envelope inside a box) might prevent tampering with a valuable item?
degibson84
i guess it is my own stupidity that cost me

I would say that. 95% of people probably ship the same way you do. I know I do.

No. Just an unfortunate set of circumstances. 99% of the time a package usually arrived intact.

What was the city/town? Maybe it would help if we had a list of "flagged locations" in which to fortify packages.

I know its more expensive, but I usually ship UPS. You are insured up to $100 free of charge and then its $2 for each additional $100. USPS doesn't have any sort of minimal insurance coverage for loss? Brutal situation.

Have you tried contacting that post office? If he's doing it alot you might get results that way.

I would think that PayPal should not go against you on thi. you got an envelope that has a slit on it and no card inside. It said DLVD then was taken back to the post office as refused. Seems funny they guy would refuse this card and not contact you 1st before refusing it due to a missing card.
The whole thing seems kinda fishy to me. Did the person notify you it was in that condition before you got it back? Sounds like a scam to me.

he told me nothing was even DLVD to him

paypal ruled in his favor even after telling them he sent me back an empty bubble mailer with a slit in it and retaped

That sucks! Was it an eBay thing or card site deal? Either way i would list his info so others know not to get taken by them. It was an obvious scam. Sorry you got screwed man.
meuandthelot
Ebay will rule in your favor with a delivered DC#

I don't understand how he could file a claim for undelivered, when your dc# would show delivered ?

Just goes to show, rules and safeguards are for the honest, crooks will circumvent anything! Hopefully karma pays him a visit one day.

I'm sorry this happened sad.gif
But..Thank you for posting this, thru these scam alerts we all learn and become a stronger community.
captkirk42
That sucks. I would watch that users name (and search for the same card) and see if the card shows up as a turn-around.
