The poor Rams lost(the toss) in overtime. NFL Overtime is ftl. I mean the Rams really deserved to win this game, or at least a shot at the game. I think everyone is getting tired of these dumb OT Rules. Bring on the college revolt(please?).

It was a good game but the better team won. If the rams dont beat the lions week 8 i am not sure they get a win this year

In a college overtime system that final outcome depends on both sides of the team, not just offense or defense.

If you lose the toss and your defense does a bad job, the offense at least has a chance to tie the game.

The way it works now isn't fair. The Rams played a much better game than the Jaguars, but because of one drive, one field goal they can't get a win? OT should be 1 additional quarter, or set up like the college system.

I agree, not just because I love the Rams. The Jaguars were sloppy the whole first half, they didn't pick up their game until the end of the third early fourth.

snk: If you watched the game the Rams def forced 3 turnovers and 1 for a touchdown. SO you an clearly not complain about getting a good defense. The problem with them is getting a GOOD Offense.

They should have won the game. I don't really agree with Spagnola kicking the field goal with 7 sec left and 1 time out he should have taken 1 more shot but I am not an NFL coach and it is not my choice. Also the Calls on Pass Interference were very iffy. Like Alex said the Laurinitis call was bull and the late all was a pass interference but the ref called it 5 sec late that is not right. If it is a foul it is a foul don't take time and hold on the flag and when a def is getting of the field you call it. Overall the Rams desirved that game and I give them 2 thumbs up for thei effort.

Also Snk your points aren't valid but you have absolutely no room to talk being a Lions fan.

and ding ding ding theres your reason. Coaches know what the OT system is he chose to kick the FG knowing ahead of time that he COULD lose the coin toss and then give up the game winning drive. The system is the system and everyone knows that.

ALSO just because someone DESERVES to win doesnt mean they will, this is the NFL not a charity. Honestly how many games have teams deserved to win but they didnt? REALLY?

i could name 4 last year the lions deserved to win but didnt get the W, whether it be stupid penalties, a missed FG, a bad int, bad reffing or whatever else, it doesnt work out in your favor sometimes and you have to deal with, it sucks.



Oh wow theres a new one. The lions didnt have there starting Qb or backup QB for the 2nd half, their superstar WR, their whole defensive line and they had a RB with a bum shoulder. Theres a proud victory. Looks like the eagles just gave up a Td to the Raiders, they havent had one of those this decade.

Actually my points are valid because not only am i a fan of the lions, i am a fan of football. What does me being a fan of a team have to do with talking about an NFL rule? You obviously didnt see the "phantom" pass interference call vs the vikings last year that gave them the win? Trust me no team has gotten screwed more then the lions. If you want to be fair the rams shouldnt of even had the chance to go to OT since all the jags had to do was run down the clock and Garrard threw that terrible, nasty lookin pick 6.

Overall it was a good game and i stand by the fact of one possession OT. Just because you put "lose" in quotations doesnt mean they didnt lose. There is not going to be an asterisk in the books next to the game because everyone on the field knows the rule. What coaches choose to do is their decision. Thats the NFL, it wont change.

the defense is part of the team.
if they give up the game winner,
then the team doesn't "deserve" a win.

It doesn't matter whether I watched the game or not. The Rams find ways to lose. You are Rams fan, you are not exactly objective. I neither like or dislike the Rams, I am merely stating the obvious... the Rams find ways to lose. They are the worst team in the league... although the Titans may give them a run for their money at this pace.

Last year it was the Lions.

The year before that it was the Dolphins.

Every year there is one clear cut bottom of the barrel team that is notch below the other bad teams. It is quite possible.... even likely... that your team will not win a game this year. You are blaming your loss on ONE PLAY in the game.

Welcome to the wonderful world of being a fan of the worst team in the league... I do believe next year the Raiders are scheduled to be the worst, so you only have about two thirds of the season left to deal with it.

Even though I live in Missouri doesnt mean You don't always not watch the Rams. Their preformance was great. Here is the ups and downs for the game.

Ups:
Def 3 turnovers (1 Def Touchdown)
Def Pressure on QB (Garrard)
Def Did well to stop the Pass

Downs:
Offense was miserable
A few Def mistakes (Dropped Interceptions)
Def could not stop the run
Again Offense was MISERABLE

Overall Def was good. Just the Rams need to get a whole new Offense.

One reason for the horrible offense was the absence of Donnie Avery after the first quarter. I don't see how people are calling us the worst time in the league. (I mean I know why) But look at the Titans vs. Pats game right now at least we give some of the teams a run for the money.
