ARGH!
The Washington Nationals made one of those last minute "lets beat the deadline" trades, with the Florida Marlins. They traded one of my Fave Nats players 1st base NICK JOHNSON (one of best on base percentage players in the league) for a Minor League Pitcher Aaron Thompson. I never heard of the guy because I don't follow the Marlins or the Minor leagues. Supposedly he has some sort of wicked change-up and a good fast ball. UGH we won't see Thompson in the Majors for at least a year probably 2 or 3. This ticks me off at the level of the trade back in the winter of 07 with the Mets Milledge for Church and Schneider. On a side Note Church is now with the Braves and Milledge with the Pirates from recent during season trades.
I know that the Mid-Season trades are supposed to be of benefit to the contending teams of the league, and help out teams that have injury problems but I don't like them. Especially if they are only beneficial to one of the teams.
