After the Phillies picked up Cliff Lee today, they are obviously out of the Roy Halladay race. So who do you think will pick up Halladay now? Will he be traded before the trade deadline?

Riccardi says he probably won't be traded

I don't know what Riccardi is thinking. He should have learned his lesson from the Johan Santana trade. There the longer the Twins waited they got lesser and lesser offers until they finally just had to trade him and got very, very untested and unproven players. They could have gotten a package from the Red Sox headed by Lester or Ellsbury that included in different combinations Lowrie, Bowden, Masterson and Crisp plus others or one from the Yankees that included Phil Hughes and others.

I think ultimately he will get traded... eventually. Whether or not it is by Friday, the winter meetings, or next years deadline I have no idea. If he is not traded by Friday I'll say his value goes down 25%.

If he does get traded it will be too the Angels or the Red Sox IMO. With the Red Sox in the lead right now.

Halladay is more than likely off the market until after the season. Considering how close we are to the trade dead line I'm pretty sure he's off the market unless someone comes through with an amazing offer. Trading for a player with as much upside as Halladay takes days to work out and there's just not that much time available.

Doesn't seem like it! Seems like this Lee to the Phills deal got done with a snap!
