Ok, this is a cool idea cause people have money and are lazy and they are trying to get a super deal, but this is also stupid cause most people don't know what they want. I can't stand when someone says they are just looking for something nice or nothing specific. If you want some random offer, then GET an idea what you want and are looking for. TELL people what you want. I think it's assinine to make people throw all these offers at you and your like, "That's not what I'm looking for," or, "I'll pass," when you haven't given us any idea what you want. We are guys and have to listen to our girlfriends, wives, and possibly boyfriends act like we're supposed to read their minds all day. This is supposed to be a release from that. Please, give people an idea of what you want. If you just want lots, tell people about how many cards you want. If you want patches or autos or patch/autos, then tell us that. I promise to do better at explaining what I'm looking for because I'm so bored with all the wasted time on TCC. The mindset as a whole has led to a ton of threads with no responses or wasted posts like the ones stated above. We may have GB's going constantly and some trades/sells going, but it would be easier if we just commucated better. I hope this helps in some way. cool.gif

This applies to trading topics also in my view. Myself I just avoid anything like that (unless I'm looking for "bumps" to delete wink.gif. Why waste my time looking for something I need and then having to post everything I have to try and get a trade. If nobody responds to those kind of threads then maybe they will get the hint wink.gif and if not oh well laugh.gif I mean at least give a general idea of what you are looking for in return, be it player/team/HOF whatever as gives someone an idea of what to offer. If I feel the person is only looking to upgrade or they can't be specific in wants, then no reason for me to even bother looking.

I agree, Dwight, that maybe ignoring is the best way to reduce this problem. Everyone wants to get a good deal, but I don't think that this is the best way to do it. I notice too, that most of these threads are usually ones where the thread starter barely responds to the posts. I will be honest and say that I have done this and I apologize to anyone that was waiting for me to respond. I try hard to respond to all posts, but I am guilty and I am going to try harder to be a responsible TCC member. I love it here and want this community to thrive.

PS. Dwight, I love your breaks. I gotta tell you that you have hands like the guitarist Buckethead. Every time I watch, I'm trying to figure out if you are him or not since he's always worn a mask. laugh.gif

I couldn't carry a tune with a bucket wink.gif laugh.gif so nope not me. He must be a blue collar worker though then as my hands have taken a beating due to that wink.gif

Those will make me avoid the thread, along with the "last six posts are bumps by the topic starter" threads, as usually those are the most difficult traders to work with (I'm not the only one that feels that way either) or they come across as impatient and it's the same kind of issue. So they are losing out on potential trades (probably the ones that post "nobody wants to trade with me" threads wink.gif

Well, regardless it would be cool if Buckethead was a card collector. I agree that those people will have issues with trading if they don't change. cool.gif
