Former WWE star Andrew "Test" Martin was found dead in his apartment in Tampa, Florida at the age of 33, just four days shy of his 34th birthday. We don't have much in the way of details at this time. Tampa area authorities have declined to officially confirm it is Martin they found but word within the industry has been widespread the last few hours.

See what happens when you drop out of the lime-light! I liked Test, and his gimmicks with Trish Stratus and Stacy. Its a shame he had to go so young.

Expect the media to be all over this story as they paint another picture of a sad tragedy in wrestling. I'm sure it will be all Vince McMahon's fault along with steroids. What they will fail to report is that Test had completed a rehab program that was paid for by WWE recently and had been doing well by all accounts. He had worked in Japan a couple weeks ago and was scheduled for an upcoming European tour. He had been dating WWE Diva Kelly Kelly but the couple had broken up 6-8 weeks ago. He had even credited her with saving his life in some public interviews, which many believe pointed to the fact that she along with Kevin Nash helped him reach out to WWE for rehab help. Sad to see another guy go so young.

Here is a link of Test from 07 in an interview for a documentary still being put together. So sad. Hate to see when people realize they make mistakes and still not be able to get completely out. Still no official word on cause of death, but should be released in the next couple days. Kelly Kelly posted on her blog a few statements to "Test"
"You were my world my best friend the one i always ran to u were always there for me..what happened to our plan...Why did god take u away from me...my heart is always with u and u only..I know your in heaven watching over me now my angel..."

Truly sad
He was a really great person to meet one of the few guys in wrestling that were actually grateful for their fans. I had the pleasure of meeting him on two several occasions

I seen it on ESPN, then went to prowrestling.com. Test was one of my favorite wrestlers, so this truly saddens me. He will be missed.

I can't say that I was a Test fan. I never hated him or liked him while he was in the WWE. It always seemed like they couldn't come up with a good story for him. It wasn't until after he left the WWE that I gained his respect.
I read the headlines on Lordsofpain.net everyday. They keep you updated with everything going on from Indy show to WWE to TNA to UFC to keeping you up to date what ex-wrestlers are doing. They always posted Test's blogs on there as he was always letting the fans know where he was in his recovery and what he was going to be doing in the business next.
He was truly a great person and will always be RESPECTED in the business and life, but unfortunately in death as well.
