Some thing similar to what sport card fourm has. i hate to say it but the tcc trade manger is in the stone age still. I know it is a lot of work. But i think it will improve the site.

I don't see anything wrong with it right now.

It only requires users to do a little background research on who they trade with, rather than having a positive/negative feedback number. Sometimes that research (actually looking through posts in a transaction topic) can yield more info about the trader than a feedback rating can.
NGWH Sports Cards
I agree.

Dead on. Everyone should get into the habit of looking through the transaction posts rather than relying on the number of completed transactions.

You know what I would like to see? A transaction manager that would let the parties involved complete the transaction themselves without having to wait on the team to do it.

Let's say that riquelmisimo enters a transaction with NGWH Sports Cards. After the transaction is posted there would be a complete transaction button that would have to be clicked and password entered by both members for the transaction to complete.

On Tuesday they agree to the trade... Friday roles around and NGWH Sports Cards receives his cards, clicks on complete transaction and enters his password. The following Monday roles around and riquelmisimo gets his cards, clicks on complete transaction and enters his password and ...wa-la... transaction complete and added to each members tally. The transaction would not complete and close until both members entered their passwords and confirmed the transaction was finished.

Of course Team Members would still deal with disputed and time-challenged transactions... but wow would it make life easier on everyone involved... smile.gif

Amen! The system works fine now that the address can be automatically found.

I completely agree with this and have for a long time. I don't even think there would be a reason for anyone to have to enter their password again though, just click complete and be done with it.

The reason I thought one might have to re-enter their password is too make sure that the different individuals involved in the trade are the ones completing the trade... don't want people randomly closing transactions....

Bob's stance on that is so you get actual feedback from members, rather than a completed trade that is just a posted trade that was closed with no replies after a week. Doesn't really help or add to the whole feedback system of this site if a system like that was implemented.

I think the only thing to add that might improve things is some sort of "This transaction is done" button or link that would put a transaction in a que for Team Members. That or some sort of way to "tag" the transaction so that team members (or is it just Bob?) who can update the status of the transaction, can easily see which ones need to be "tagged and bagged".

I realize that sometimes there is a lag time because of a large quantity of transactions in the status update que and members with no time to attend to them. Everybody here has a life outside of cards believe it or not Mr. Ripley. Usually it doesn't take too long for a completed transaction to be marked as "complete" by a team member, but I have had an occasional transaction that has spent several days a complete but not marked as such.

There is no "automatic" system to do this type of thing, and it seems that many people are expecting that sort of thing. Any automatic system would not have the integrity or the quality that Bob is trying to maintain for TCC.

So for those of us that don't bother with a site where no trades ever seem to get done...what exactly are those features? wink.gif
