Similar to what SCF has recently introduced.
Its a good way to show off the best of the best from TCC.
Full Version: Collector Hall of Fame's
People had hissy fits over the awards. Im afraid that this would cause even more of such reactions.
Why put a label on something so personal? There are no rules on how to collect, so why mess it up with regulations on what qualifies as a certain type of collection?

Actually BMB had it 1st. SCF copied them, and on FCB (which is where all the old BMB members are) they don't want the Collector Hall of Fame back.
If I recall correctly the BMB Hall of Fame was more of a "Member" HOF, using criteria beyond the collection?

I don't see any reason to. We can all define the HOFers, and there's no point in imitating SCF.

I thought he meant collector, as like a member award, not based on collection. You are right about the BMB HOF though.

Here at TCC, we already have a HOF. It's anyone who makes at least 5,000 posts.
Being a great member here is about a lot more than how many cool cards you have, or how valuable your collection is.
For instance, everyone things Richard is a great member. But it's not because he has the coolest or most valuable collections. It's because he's always willing to share his opinion, he's always polite when he shares it, he's a great person to trade with, etc.
Being a great member at TCC is about looking out for your fellow collectors, helping each other in trades, and sharing your thoughts and experiences so that we can all enjoy the hobby a little better.

If your looking for awards off of soemthing that is supposed to be special to you then that collection will not keep its specialness over time...there's only one person to please when it comes to your collection...yourself!

I like the awards that are given out already. there is no need to say that one persons collection is better than someone elses! Besides i think TCC is better the SCF anyday!
