I have a neighbor down the road where I just moved, who has a treasure trove of memorabilia, mostly cardinals, cubs, and brewers. a few others.. but im just at the tip of the iceburg.
among the auto'd baseballs, pennants, and all that, theres a bunch of these scrapbooks.
He found these recently at a sports-type flea market.
its all cardinals from the 30s?
dizzy dean, lots of babe ruth mentions.. but whats cool about them, are whoever the guy who put them together, was either a Really big fan, or connected somehow to the team. theres no autographs in it, but alot of box scores, newspaper articles/pictures, typed player bios, stats.. and theres thousands of pages of this.
anyone come across these before? I have pictures here in my bucket.
I think this old stuff is great, never was into it before, but when you go in this guys house, you get a nice appreciation for old baseball.

check out the pics. any comments would be great.

That is cool saw someone like that on the Antigues road show. The woman's mother kept a scrapbook of Dimaggio and had autos and everything in the scrapbook. It was pretty need how she put it all together.

I've been wanting to do one for the brewers,. at least headlines, box scores,
game rundowns, etc.
but i never do.
this guy looks like he at least did it from '29 to '35
I wish I would have been doing it my whole life, then when the Brewers go on a skid like they are now, I can go grab the 1982 scrapbook :-)

It looks like somebody was a big fan...

I kept one when I was a kid of the Quincy Cubs...

and had all the Clemente stuff when he perished..

Its also where I put all my Topps Posters from the early 70's late 60's

Mom thru it out when they moved in 92.. thought it was garbage...

Yeah, I like that shot.
they should have made a baseball card out of it.
maybe they did, how would I know? im only 32

PS.. I had some inquiries on other sites about dealing these away..
I dont want to break them up of course, but how much would it be to
ship 27 lbs? the shipping might be the deal breaker on these, lol
