Paxson is the man.
http://www.nba.com/news/305671.htmlReport: Bulls' Chandler to Hornets for Brown, SmithMarc Stein of ESPN.com reports, "They've managed to strip Detroit of its beloved Ben Wallace, but the Chicago Bulls can't quite claim to be the surprise team of this fledging NBA offseason. Especially not if the Bulls complete the trade they're discussing with the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets. NBA front-office sources told ESPN.com on Monday night that the Bulls were close to shipping Tyson Chandler to the Hornets for P.J. Brown and J.R. Smith."
Chicago dumps a bad contract and a overpaid player for P.J., a solid big man who's game isnt similar to Ben's like Tyson Chandler's is. not only that, but after next season P.J. is a FA and his big contract comes off the books. freeing up MORE cap space for the Bulls. J.R. Smith is yet another young player being added to the young core of the Bulls. outside of Wallace the Bulls are very young. this could be the makings of a VERY good team for years. not only that..but they have a NY draft pick for next year. if the Knicks are as bad next year as they were this year...Greg Oden any1?

they could very well dangle young talent like Thomas, Deng, Gordon to Minny. this Chandler trade isnt OFFICIAL yet. I believe nothing can go down til the 12th. so you never know.

nah. Gordon isnt untouchable. he's not their best player either. he may be their best OFFENSIVE player...but that's it. he's one dimensional. their only untouchable from every report I've read is Hinrich. deservedly so. the guy is a great all around player.

yup. what's that saying....DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS? Gordon doesnt play D. only thing Gordon has on Kirk is scoring. Kirk has him on rebounding, man to man defense, team defense, steals, blocks, passing, penetrating, creating, making his teammates better. Gordon gets all the pop for the Bulls but w/o Hinrich this team goes nowhere. he's an up and coming JKidd type player.

The mascot got arrested for driving a motorcycle through an outdoor festival. When a cop approached him, the mascot punched the officer in the face. The punch broke the officer's glasses and also his watch (maybe he really got knocked out)....

Wow....the Hornets will be making a huge mistake if they agree to this. JR Smith is a really promising young player.....Chandler? Bleh....

J.R. has really fell out of the loop with the Hornets they were looking to move him this usmmer, they even l;ooked last year before the deadline. Chandler is pretty much the same deal.
Chicago will be the number one contender if this trade goes down.
Smith can add some instant offense as a starter or off the bench and Brown is a solid double double and a nice inside presence to help out Ben.
Great pick-ups by the Bulls.
Now if only the Raptors would start picking up some nice players.....(sigh) o well.

Diaper Daddy...what are your Hawks doin this offseason asides from getting rid of your best player in Al Harrington.
The Hawks need to push and trade Al Harrington for Jamal Tinsley or AJ from Atlanta because as much as I would like to say I like Speedy Claxton. He doesn't cut it as a starter on a decent team and I hope you guys are looking to be decent...

6 seed? behind WHO? Bulls win games with their defense. you realize Ben will provide as much if not more offense than Tyson right? P.J. Brown can hit the open jumper, J.R. Smith's scoring will increase as will his minutes. I know you're upset Ben left Detroit for Chicago but the Bulls are probably the deepest team in the league right now. they were #1 in bench production last year. Bulls averaged 97.8 PPG last year. the Pistons averaged 96.8 PPG. I dont see how losing Chandler while gaining Thomas, Brown, Wallace and Smith will cause a decrease in scoring for the Bulls next season?

i am say it isnt going to increase scoring, it will stay the same most likely... ben wallace is the worst center in the league, scoring wise, i dont think any1 finished behind him in points... chicago will be a good team but there are teams that will still finish above them... like miami, cleveland (if they keep lebron), pistons, nets, and either the pacers/wizards... just watch the bulls wont make any seed higher then the 4/5 game

you are a hater man. Ben averaged 7 PPG, I know at least one C averaged less than that. Tyson Chandler at 5 PPG. at this point, only the Heat are above Chicago by default. then again the Heat were giftwrapped the title. "Defense wins championships". Chicago's D is the best in the east, no comparison. Pacers? c'mon. Wizards? unless they start playing D they're going nowhere. Cleveland? same as the Wizards. Pistons? watch their defense go down down down w/o Ben.
