Well, I already have my Tivo set up for the ring ceremony. I can not wait to see the look on LeBron's face as one by one the C's walk by him and get their rings. In my opinion if the Celtics stay healthy and Powe can step up and take Posey's spot off the bench than the Celtics can be just as successful as last year. However, they will have to be better than last year as the East has gotten mroe competitive. With LeBron and DH12 getting better every year, I expect more competition out of them. The Sixers will not be push overs this year either and the Pistons are contenders every year. So...who's pumped for Tuesday night?

I'm gunning for Tony Allen to recieve the first Tommy point of the season. Mainly because he's got alot to prove on both ends of the court, and by the looks he's the Celts sixth man. Filling the void from Posey is going to be a tough task, but I think he's up for the challenge.

i like giddens, but he is behind a few guys on the bench, not saying he won't play well, just think he has something to prove. As for pruitt, he's benhind rondo, house, and cassell, enough said. i love the fact that pierce came in in the best shape of his life, 10-15 punds less than last season. he is really elevating himself to a celtic great. another ring or two will really solidify him as one of the best.

Pierce was quite emotional, that's a sign of a player that appreciates what he's done. The champions jerseys are nice with the gold trim, and those patches on right shoulder are sick.

Yep, the one thing Tony Allen did that really impressed me was when he drove, he had his head up and was in control. He got a lot of charges last year on reckless drives and last night, he was able to get into the paint and either put it in, get fouled, or both. As for Powe, he is just a beast. He goes after every rebound and loose ball. Doc has said time and time again he is one of the most coachable players he has ever had. The guy puts in nonstop effort every game. Absolutley, Powe is one of those guys you just cant help but root for. You heard the great story about how he kept his family together right? His dad left when he was 2, his house burned down when he was 7, his mother, who had drug issues, died of a heart attack his junior year. He skipped 5th grade to watch kis siblings, and basically lived on the streets and cheap motels, not to mention he had 3 serious knee surgeries in a span of 2 years in college.

I heard that story during the NBA Finals, i'm glad he overcame all those obstacles and became a solid NBA player. I'm looking forward to seeing how JR Giddens & Bill Walker use there minutes when they get them. They both looked sharp in the pre season (especially Walker with those crazy dunks

). I know there minutes will be hard to come by, but it will be interesting to see them play when they get the chance.

Absolutely and I bet Doc will get them some minutes. Speaking of dunks, I've got a feeling TA has some to break out. He was so explosive before that knee injury, and now i think he's almost back to full strength. He also has become a much better finisher after contact(even though sometimes it looks like he's just throwing it up there lol)

TA was supposed to be Gerald Green partner in the dunk comp. a few years back, but got that serious injury which kept him out. I'm sure he has a few dunks he wants to show off. Game 2 tonight with the Bulls, I love Deng but hope the Celtics hand them a whooping tonight. I'm looking for Pierce & Garnett to have solid games as usual, and hoping Ray Allen can get something going tonight. GO CELTICS!

The game was pretty much dominated by the C's aways, and the Bulls were just a complete mess out there tonight. Most of the Bulls weren't trying to make plays but just playing shoot around for the most part. Garnett played his 1000 game and posted a double double going 18pts & 10reb. Perkins had 10reb as well, and R.Allen & Pierce has solid games with 14 a piece. Rondo has a great game as usual with 14pts & 6ast. Powe had a wicked game off the bench as usual with 13pts and 6reb. The game was against a weak team, so it wasn't much of a test for the C's last night, next up Pacers tonight. GO CELTICS!

I'll miss bits & pieces of the game, due to having to drive Zamboni tonight for a hockey game. But at least we have a T.V. in our employee room, so I can catch most of the game. Hopefully your Mom's lucky day can rub off on the C's and give them a 3rd victory tonight.

Oh yeah Perk is soaking it all in since KG arrived, it's great to see a player that's satisfied with his role with the team. Not many players would be willing to do that. Like you said in a previous post TA & Powe have been playing great off the bench, and showing how they are a big part of this Celtics team.
