void? bench? The cCeltics have one of the most productive benches in the league with Tony Allen, Eddie House, Leon Powe, and Glen Davis. Although the name might not be big, they produce just as well, if not better than any other 2nd unit on the NBA. They have been plaing better than the starters lately. Saying that, The Candyman would just hang on the bench with Scalabrine.

2 huge games in a row for Pierce, 70 pts combined. That fadeaway jumper he made to win it is his trademark shot, and is nearly impossible to defend as it creates a gap quickly with the defender. Atlanta could not maintain their offensive pace or stop the C's in the second half. They have the potential to be a top 3 team in the east, but only time will tell.

Pierce had an unreal game again last night, that game winning jumper at the end was sick. KG had a great game as well 25pts 12reb. I see that the Hawks & C's have quite the rivalry now, I hope all there meetings this year are a good as last night. GO CELTICS!

What a weird game last night... I was watching most of the 2nd half, they were down came back, down, came back.. I remember looking up and they tied it at 84 or so, then next thing I know the are down by 8-10 again.

Funny too... Iverson and the pistons beat the lakers and billups and denver beat the C's.

Like Cades said above it was a strange game. Good 1 and 3 quarters, and in the 2 and 4 they looked horrible. TA, Big Baby & Powe were a combined 0 for 8 from the field, and Ray was invisible the 2nd half. But it's only the 2nd loss of the season, and they can get some redemption tonight against the Bucks.

Yeah the bench has been underperforming these last few games, but it all comes down to consistently. The fist team slips in and out of rhythm. Hopefully, they turn things around tonight.

A nice 5 point OT victory tonight. Pierce & Ray had 27 & 28, and the bench finally looked good tonight. Overall pretty exciting game, I was a little worried when KG fouled out but it all worked out in the end.

It was a great game! I think Powe gave the C's a great boost in the 2nd quarter, but the real hero was Pierce who shut down RJ in the 4th and OT.

Powe was a powerhouse in the 2nd, and Pierce knows RJ's game so well I wasn't suprised Pierce dominated him in the 4th & OT. I also read earlier yesterday they sent JR Giddens to Utah of the D-League. Probably a good idea for now, because he'll get some much needed minutes and a bit of experience playing NBA calibre players.

I agree on Giddens, but not so much on Pierce. I don't think his sucecss had as much to do with knowing RJ's game as much as it had to do with keeping RJ in front of him and sliding his feet. Also, Paul had his hand in RJ's face on just about every shot. I'm sure seing RJ plenty of times before with the Nets helped somewhat, but hustle and effort is the key to a good defense. By the way, what was Scal doing out there? I thought he was basically there to learn how to coach from Doc as thats what Scal wants to do after his playing days are over. He played decently, but I am in no way, shape, or form comfortable with him out there(especailly in the end of the game)!

KG just got suspended 1 game for his foul on Bogut. That is some serious bull. Bogut slammed his arm down on KG first, it was absolutley unnecessary and intentional and KG is the one punished. His foul was also bumped up to a flagrant 1.

Celtics vs Pistons tonight, i'm sporting my new Rondo authentic jersey that I got in the mail on Tuesday. This should be a fun game tonight, and very entertaining. I know we'll be seeing these guys at some point in this years playoffs. GO CELTICS!

Another nice victory last night, T.A. had a solid game 13pts, 6reb, and 3 stl, and Rondo had a sweet game with 18pts & 8ast. Everyone else was solid as usual, and now time to prepare for Big Al & the Wolves. KG will finally get to play in Minnesota for the first time since leaving, he missed last years tilt with an Ab strain. It should be a little bit of a emotional night for KG, but I have a feeling he'll have a good game. GO CELTICS!

Sorry man, it's been a hectic week. I've caught some of the last couple games and it looks like the offense is firing on all cylinders. I feel thats because Rondo is pushing the ball and creating havoc on the defensive end. Hopefully they can keep it up Wednesday night!

No defense at all last night, you can not expect to win games giving up 110 to the Raptors and Warriors. Rajon had a great game and Pierce once again proved why he is the best closer in the game. Dickerson gave out a stat saying hee's an 80% FT shooter in the first 3 quarters and 88% in the 4th quarter. Solid games from KG and Ray Ray, but if the C's want to continue winning, they need to step up the D!

Correct horrible game on the defensive end, and it just continued through out the rest of the game. Solid game by the starting five, but like you said earlier if you wanna continue winning games they need to be a force like last year on there end. Pierce had his usual game (love watching him ).

Tomorrow vs Philly.

I've heard people say his passing skills have improved and his agreement to be a team player, but to me he's just become so much more calm and patient. He reads defenses much better. A great example of this was when he drove in late in the game and rther than taking a 15 foot leaner, he cut in to draw the double, let KG seal the oncoming defender, and layed down a bounce pass to give KG an easy 2. He just see's the floor so much better offensively and knows how the defense will react if he does something.

I know the exact play your refering too, just his focus and passion since getting KG & Ray Ray he's turned into the player everyone wanted him to be since high school. If he played this way throughout college & his early years he would have never been so underated his whole career (Except for the last year and so far this year). I've read over the years he would have been a top 3 pick if it wasn't for the usual me first attitude which tons of NBA players have early in there careers. Watch a player like Lebron figure that out when it's too late, not hating on him but get the right personal in and use your team and you'll surely see what happens i.e. The Celtics.

KG vs. Brand tonight should be a great matchup. I think Pierce is gonna have a big game as the 76ers dont really have a guy who can match up with him. Most teams don't really have one as Pierce is very very strong. He isn't overly fast, but he can take contact and finish at the rim with the best of them. What I really want to see tonight, however, is a little defense.

Absolutely, he really slipped in the draft. Looking back, I would not take anyone else in the draft. Who was there, Dirk, bibby, Carter? At pick #10 he was an absolute steal. Thank god Pitino didn't screw that one up. As for LeBron, I'm not so sure his ego is all that big, only time will tell. With Pierce, he came in with this me first attitude, but it grew as he decided that he could not trust his teammates. He was stuck here with guys like Antoine Walker and Kenny Anderson as a supporting cast. Once the C's got the Big 3 together, all of that changed.

I enjoy your insight your always right on the money, and you make me think in a different perspective. As for Pitino, thankfully he did one thing right.

Yeah, he was a college coach. Completely diffrent atmosphere, completely different game of basketball. I really like coming on and talking C's with you as well. It's nice to hear another person's opinions, pick up tidbits of info. I love talking sports and can do it for hours, I want to go into sports marketing or management when i graduate(hopefully somewhere near Boston).

Good luck with your education, and hopefully it lands you somwhere in Boston. Lets hope the C's get things going in a positive manner on the defensive end tonight and pull off a victory.
