Shaq changes any game just by being on the court. who do you think frees up the lane for Wade? when Wade drives, the big man stays home on Shaq. if the big man goes to challenge Wade, all Wade has to do is flip the ball up there and Shaq will go get it. we saw it 843758743897589475894 times with Kobe. Shaq might not be the offensive force he once was, but he can still dominate the game in other ways.

I went with Wade because as many of the older collector out there should remember Jordans cards did not start to rise at the pace they are until he won his first title. Until Lebron wins he will be like KG where he cards were so hot everyone wanted them then when he keep being eliminated from the playoffs collectors lost interest and found someone better.
It is not the player that makes the cards expensive it is use collectors. It is supply and demand. Right now everyone is wanting Wade and Lebron so they are going up. In a couple year who knows someone with more hype might come along and presto Lebron and Wade start falling!

Remember, Jordan couldn't do it by himself. He did not win ANY championships until Pippen came along. And Pippen couldn't win that lone year without Jordan, even though it was basically the same team. Garnett had nobody. He's considered superior, but not dominant enough to take over a game.
The formula seems to have always been one dominant player plus one superior player equals championship(s).

I think Wade's cards will definitely see some movement in the offseason, but don't forget that Lebron had the advantage of probably the most publicity EVER by a basketball rookie. Plus, he also had a pretty good first playoffs. It'll take some time for Wade's cards to reach Lebron's status....but by then, who's to say that Lebron won't have already won a championship? Lebron IS the complete NBA superstar....he's got game, he's got charisma, he's already taken some steps to becoming a leader and a clutch performer, and he's playing for a well-supported team.
Make no mistake about it though....Wade is moving up and he's only gonna get closer and closer to Lebron. Still, I think Lebron edges it for the moment.
Here's one for everyone to think about too: do you think the fact that Lebron is Upper Deck exclusive and Wade is Topps exclusive will be a factor?
UD seems to have the upper hand in terms of the basketball products being released every year....and because of that you're always going to see more high-end cards of Lebron than Wade....eg. Exquisite collection, Ultimate Collection, SPGU.

I voted for LeBron James. When it comes to the value of trading cards, championship rings are not the only driving force. In fact, at times, they are not even the primary one.

Exactly....look at players like Duncan, Billups, Parker, Hamilton....with the success they've had in the Finals, their card prices should be soaring....but all are still very affordable compared to players like Iverson and McGrady, who haven't won anything yet.

I thought Shaq was just a "distraction"?

now you openly admit Shaq is the reason the Heat got by Detroit this year. replace Wade with any good guard, if they got the calls he got in the Finals, it would've been no different.

exactly. the same with Dallas. that's why I was saying Shaq affects the game just by being on the court. while you said he didnt do much..that Wade did everything. take Shaq out of the game and Dallas (or any team for that matter) would have no problem doubling and tripling Wade. once that happens, and he still beats the doubles and triples, then I will have more respect for what he's doing. until then..he's only top 5 on my list. not #1.

wade got doubled and tripled a lot of times and he still scored withought dishing it off to shaq... every game in the 4th quarter wade would be unstoppable they tried everything on him except for having the whole team guard him and u dont need shaq when 3 ppl r on one person cause then theres 4 of ur players against 2 of theirs and any player should be able to score on that.... and still wade scored on them... he would pull up with the same jumper in same spot like 4 possesions in a row.. all i kno is that wade is better then lebron as a player and until lebron beats wade it wont be different... i guess we have to wait till next season for all u non-wade beleivers lol
