Hey guys,
I've got a box of Futera World 2007 coming in from a local guy. It should be here by the end of the week, though my schedule may prevent me from breaking it live.
My interest in soccer is relatively new. I follow the local MLS side, DC United, but it's hard to sustain interest when the quality of play is generally unimpressive. I did stay up till 2am during the last world cup so that I could catch some the matches, and even had one night with some buddies where we stayed up the whole time and watched the 5am and 7:30am matches as well.
A recent bout of illness left me at home for several of the Euro 2008 matches, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I always said soccer was boring, but really what I meant was that bad soccer is boring (hello, MLS.) Euros were top notch this year, and I'm already anticipating the World Cup in a couple years because the coverage here will be even better then.
I also bought the North American version of Football Manager (here it's Worldwide Soccer Manager.) It's making it much easier to learn the names of players, plus giving me a much better appreciation of the tactics involved.
So consider my box of Futera another way to begin to learn more about soccer on the other side of the Ocean. And keep your eyes peeled in case you want to make a trade.
