Simple enough. My vote goes to the Celtics. This is probably the best thing to happen to the NBA in a decade.

Because they're my team, I'm going to say the Lakers, but the Celtics have the defense the Lakers don't have.

Meh I think all this Lakers-Celtics nonsense is insanely overrated. Look at these old clips of Magic and Bird! What? They have no bearing on this series? Oh.... I just don't get it. Sure there was a history... 20 years ago... Who cares?

People who stopped watching when Bird and Magic Retired. People who stopped watching when Jordan retired. Thats who cares. I am not saying the NBA isn't great right now as is... but you can't argue that there has been very little to make people tune in. I am telling you dude, this will get people interested again. The league needs this matchup.
Those clips of Bird and Magic have no bearing on this series, but for people who only have a passing interest in the sport or stopped watching long ago... these are the two teams they remember always duking it out. I don't know how many people I have talked to that NEVER watch NBA basketball and even they are excited about this.

Out of curiosity, how many people voted for the Celtics because they dislike the Lakers? How many people voted for the Lakers because they dislike the Celtics? How many people voted because it's their favorite team? Lastly, how many people voted after comparing both teams?

I voted for the Lakers because I think they are the much better team. Imagine when it comes down to a close game. Kobe is going to go off... The Celtics don't have anyone to match that whatsoever.

I'm talking crunch time. Best closer since MJ against 3 players who haven't proven they can do that just yet on the biggest stage, including KG who has shown time and time again he doesn't want that responsibility.

it does seem that only one or two of the big three show up each game.

I say the Celtics, cuz there my favorite team. Although I think it will be a great series and hopefully go the full 7. Personally I think the Celtics have the better team, but Kobe is a monster and can take games into his own hands. I just hope the Celtics stick to there game plan, and pull it off. GO CELTICS!

But you can't compare Gasol and McDyess' defense; I think McDyess could do more against him. Gasol isn't a very good defender in my opinion, as he will have to leave the paint against KG.
