Well the kids are all right.. Malkin is playing beyond his years! Did you see that backhanded swipe as he was falling down get past Lundquist yesterday! WOW!! Hossa is gelling, Gary Roberts provides a steady hand in the locker room and yet....??

On the other side we got one of the best teams money can buy.. Briere, Upshall, and some homegrown talent in Carter and Richards. a lot to like in Philly except....??

This one boils down to goaltending. Neither netminder has gotten this far as a #1 goalie. Fleury was less than stellar in games 4 and 5 and Biron only seemed to improve late in the Habs series. To me Goaltending is verything at this point in the season. I will go with the one with more confidence right now.

Dallas Stars vs Detroit Red Wings

The dead wings (but im not dead yet) just whipped knots on the Avs. I still think the Avs are trying to get the jersey number of that Franzen kid who ran them over. Osgood was Actually an improvement in goal (but having watched him in St Louis I can only hope for a Blues relapse) I dont know if youth will be served hot or cold but...

The Stars shocked the pacific coast again by dispatching the Ducks first and now the Sharks! What a game( I did NOT stay up BTW) 4 OT's it just dont get any better than that. Turco continues to stand on his head. Will he continue?

As much as I root against the dead wings I do not hold out much hope that the stars will toss their lifeless body on the carriage!

Go Stars, that was a late ending game on the left coast (almost midnight here), was crazy yet a great game to watch, but least they didn't have to go back to the Bay for a game 7. Red wings look tough, but maybe they can get past them, time will tell.
