Not sure what we'd break but preferably something with national players. I was thinking possibly something with Futera, Panini, or something along the lines of that. MLS would be cool as well. Just start posting ideas and we might be able to come up with something.

Would be interested. Numbers may be a problem
Quakescollector
If we get 8 people and buy 07-08 Champions League... we each get 4 club teams of out choice. If we only get 3, then get 8... it's not numbers that worry me.
flea
would be a nice box

What are you looking pricewise for buy-in? Have no idea on Soccer box prices, but if people read this post and had an idea of price you might get others interested.

Thanks for bringing up those good points and tips Brian. I'm going to do some research right now on that and post it later.

Ok, here's some products I'd like to try:

2007 Futera World Football

Always a very nice products, filled only with soccer legends and stars (no crappy players). 2 hits I think but filled with 1/1 autographs.

Euro 2008 Stickers or cards
No Gu/autos but good for player/team collectors
price range ($30-$50)

This could be a challenge, if anyone has ideas please post them.

I was just wondering which companies produce soccer card's that include european or non MLS players?! I haven't bought any soccer cards previously, but thought since your talking about this topic in this thread I'd ask! Also do soccer sets contain AU or GU card's to the same degree as other sports set's?!

I would be interested in this. Futera seem like a good product.

What everyone be willing to pay so I can get a general idea of what I could get and what the odds on everything could be.

Let me know and I'll come up with something.

Personally I'd be willing to go ($20-$40)
flea
$25 is a good figure
pregra
I'd be willing to pay up to $40 as well.

Anyone like this idea for a group break?

(6 people needed)

Panini Euro 2008 Main $59

Factory sealed box of official Euro 2008 soccer cards. Dubbed the "Main" series, this box is manufactured by Panini of Italy and contains 24 6-card packs. It is a fully licensed Euro 2008 product and is one of two distinct card products made by Panini for Euro 2008. We are also offering the other product on ebay under the title "Euro 2008 Trading Cards".

The series consists of 195 high quality cards, including 148 "golden" player cards, 25 super action "ultracards" and 22 logo, trophy, mascot and checklist "rainbow golden" cards. This series is loaded with world stars.

2007 Futera World Football $83

Sealed box of one of the finest soccer card products ever made - Futera World Football 2007. Manufactured by Futera in the UK, this box contains 24 packs of 8 cards each (slightly fewer cards if a random insert is in the pack).

The basic series is 200 super-premium cards of the WORLD'S BEST PLAYERS IN THEIR NATIONAL TEAM UNIFORMS. If you name a star player, chances are that he's in the series. In addition, there are terrific randomly inserted chase cards, including game used jersey cards and autographed cards of top stars (see average insertion ratios below).

Only 6900 boxes were made and every box is serial numbered. The retail price of this box in the UK is £70.80 (over $140.00!). We have obtained a limited supply at the special price of only $75.00 per box.

Cards are in English. As with all trading card products, cards are random within a pack and box.

We need to factor in shipping (I live in the USA) Probably at least $5 a person, maybe less/more depending where you live. So this roughly rounds up to $29 a person.

We would draft teams by nationality. There's at least 24 different countries so we could each get 4 teams.

Let me know your thoughts.

Also, I did not want to get 2007 MLS. The set has no GU cards and autos are 1 per 12 boxes. I don't want to to pay $40 for a box of that and receive junk players when I can pay a little more and quality players.
flea
like it.

Anyway of getting a list of what countries are available in the Futera?? Wouldn't do to pick a country not listed

Thanks for looking that up.

Ok, I'll make a thread but only one problem, I don't want to be the one handling the money. I'll do the breaks via video but I don't want to be the account. Any takers? Flea?
flea
have you sourced somewhere to order from?? Is it this side of the water or stateside?
Quakescollector
It's in the States, I've dealt with this guy before so... we should be good.

I would go with the 2nd option, that way we don't lose money b/c paypal takes out a small fee. You can just pay me a little though for shipping, which we'll discus after I ship all of the cards so we know the amount.
flea
well lets do this then smile.gif

One thing I just thought of, does anybody want to break some Euro 2008 Products after the Euros?

I'm hoping prices on boxes will go down and it will be cheaper.

I was thinking a product rundown like this:

Panini Euro 2008 Main
Panini Euro 2008 Trading card game
Panini Euro 2008 Stickers

Like/Dislike?

If the price is right, I'd be into seeing some main cards from Euro 2008.

Also looking for cheap MLS jersey cards.

cheers
