Well the Raptors currently sit at 32-24 and are in 4th place in the East. 1 game above Cleveland and 3 games back of Orlando. They've got a pretty easy schedule the rest of the way and if they can go 18-8 they can win 50 games this season.

The Raptors are one of the best shooting teams in the NBA and are 6th in the NBA in Field Goal %, 1st in 3-Point % and 2nd in Free Throw %. They are also 6th in the league in Assists/Game. The Raptors have 4 players in the top 15 in the league in 3-Point Shooting Jason Kapono (1), Jose Calderon (7), Anthony Parker (8) and Carlos Delfino (15).

Top Players :

Chris Bosh 22.9 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 2.3.apg

Ranks #10 in the NBA in Points Per Game(22.9)

Ranks #8 in the NBA in Free Throw Attempts(435.0)

Jose Calderon 12.7 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 8.7 apg
Jose is having an All-Star year. When Ford went out with his injury Calderon really took over.

Ranks #7 in the NBA in Three-Point Field-Goal Percentage(0.46)

TJ Ford 12 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 6.3apg
TJ hasn't had much luck with injuries this year. But he is back now and looking as good as he has all season. His numbers will be increasing soon.
Ranks #10 in the NBA in Assists Per Turnover(3.27)

Anthony Parker 11.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 2 apg
Anthony Parker is one of the most consistent players on the Raptors. Most Americans will know him as the brother to Tennessee Vols Candice Parker.
Ranks #8 in the NBA in Three-Point Field-Goal Percentage(0.459)
Ranks #6 in the NBA in Steals Per Turnover(1.14)

Recent News:

Jorge Garbajosa who had surgery on his leg earlier this season was out on the court hobbling around and taking some shots. He put down his crutches to get in some hoop time. There is no timeline for his return. The Raptors have really missed Jorge's presence this year.

Indiana is up tonight and this should be a nice win for the Raptors tonight.

Well they got pounded by Indiana. Bosh went down in the first quarter not exactly good news for the Raptors.

Not too sure what Sam Mitchell was thinking leaving Ford and Calderon in for the majority of the game. Ford was horrible and he forced up too many shots and was a HUGE liability on defense. Really disappointing loss when it should have been a guaranteed win even without Bosh.
oldspice_007
Well Charlotte right now Raptors looking decent without their All-Star. Looks like their maybe proof from this game that Bargnani shouldn't start and Rasho should......
oldspice_007
Well the Raptors got pounded again.
Pretty poor performance, not really sure what was up with the rotation AGAIN. As well as the play calling from the bench.

Pretty weak against 2 teams that should have been W's even without Bosh.

What's up with this team? Sometimes they look so good, sometimes they look dreadful. They're loaded with talent.

Btw, when's TJ coming back?

He still can when he is healthy

Well Anthony Ford is back he's been back since a little after the All-Star break.
Inconsistency and a lack of rebounding is the major problem. Not having Bosh is really hurting them, especially when Bargnani plays and he really can't rebound (AT ALL).

Ford can really fly but he isn't the greatest point guard. He can get his points thats for sure but as far as running an offense......

Well the Raptors got spanked again this time by a team that should have beat them, Orlando. Really wish the Raptors would trade TJ Ford. I really would rather see Calderon at point, hes a real point guard not a scoring guard like TJ is now. I think since his injury its like he has something to prove which really isn't helping the team.

In this game for instance to start the 4th quarter the Raptors had the lead cut down to three. NO ONE on the team touched the ball except TJ for the first four minutes of the quarter. TJ's stats in those 4 minutes 5/8 11 points 3 Turnovers. Not that bad right? But the Orlando lead bloomed to 9 and TJ gave no reason for his teammates to play any offense at all. The team was deflated after that and never really bounced back.

I hope they can move him in the offseason.

Ahh Raptors will need to pick it up when Chris Bosh comes back. They been losing to some weak Teams Besides The Magic.

Well since my last post the Raptors finally won against the Heat 108-83. Last night they took the Wizrds into OT but couldn't finish losing 110-106 it was a winnable game it's too bad they didn't capitalize.

Bosh still isn't back yet. Raptors take on Seattle Sunday @ 1pm.
oldspice_007
Nice game today by the Raptors before a West Coast road trip. They took advantage of Seattle's turnovers and won 114-106. 6 players in double digits for the Raps, Wilcox had a monster game for Seattle and I would love to see him in a Raptors uniform.

Still no signs of Bosh. No time line for his return. Pretty scary considering they were only going to pull him for 3 games.

W's a W, next up is the Lakers on Tuesday. It'll be a tough one.

I respect the Spurs but your comment was out of line.

I can't help but notice that every team you cheer for is in Philly minus your basketball team.

Are you possibly a bandwagon jumper since the Sixers aren't a good team?

The Raps play Denver tonight, having lost 6 of 8 they need to get something happening. There still in good shape in the playoff hunt in the east, and Bosh should be back by the end of the road trip. But Ford has picked up the slack with 51 points the last 2 games. Hopefully the Raps shooting is hot tonight, and they can pull off a much needed win. Boston is my team but because I live in Canada can help but have a soft spot for the Raps. smile.gif Go Raps.
