The packs were pretty cheap and there were really nice sets and inserts even though they weren't worth that much. It was really fun. Now there is just way to much, and the designs are mostly crap. Good times. Yep. No $500 packs back then either. Insert designs were cool, and some held value comparable to GU now. I had a few worth $20-40 that might be worth $5 now.

I still have alot of my notebooks of those players in the closet back when buying cards didn't take a chunk out of the budget. and carlos baerga! 2nd favorite player behind jim thome back in the day...oneth by land, twoeth by sea, threeeth baerga (gotta love chris bergman!)

I have all my binders from back then - I build on them. Base binders, insert binders (this binder I don't use that much), rookies, etc.
