The reason I'm asking is there's another site that does case breaks & thier prices seem WAY high when you see what the cases are selling for in the US.

One example -
1 case of Prime, 28 slots @ $69. = $1932.

A site we all know of in the US is selling Prime cases for $1299.99. Now I know they need to make a profit & they need to cover shipping expenses but that just seems high to me. So I ask the question to our Canada collectors - Are boxes that much more up there? If so how do you afford it?

The prices are higher depending on the exchange, but the main reason is the GST tax that is charged. See this chart on wikipedia. Total tax is 13% for Ontario

Additionally, I don't think they move their prices down as fast or as much as US shops do, since hockey is always in demand up there.

Also in Canada they can't buy direct from company (UD, Panini, etc..), so they buying from a distributor at a higher cost. Unlike US where if you sell out of State (internet) there is no sales tax, and doesn't appear to be that way in Canada from what I can tell. They can be cheaper on other sports as it is supply and demand, and Hockey is bigger up north the same as the other sports sell more down here than there. Like everything else up to each person what they feel is fair price wise, personally I have more faith in an established bigger Group Breakers than say the Ebay auction ones that have higher chance of shadiness and the like as who knows if they shill the better teams and everyone else just paying for their cards. Nobody likes feeling like they paying for the breakers spot, and place I believe you referring to they don't usually participate in the group break

Noticed that too Bud, must be cheaper for Canadian people to do case breaks here in the states, Was gonna join in at the site but way to much for me
