I know I've been busy asking questions on here lately, but I have another one that's been eating at me.
One month ago I sold an unwanted Best Buy Gift card on ebay. It was for $10 and sold for $9.70. Not bad, I thought. Being that it is a tiny piece of plastic, I sent it in a white envelope without delivery confirmation. Before shipping, I saw the buyer had a small amount of feedback with only one negative mark so I felt no reason to read the feedback. This was my mistake. It turns out that the member actually has 14 negative ratings and 6 of them are for not receiving gift cards. It's just that under the newer ebay feedback layout, seller cannot leave negative feedback without filing an ebay claim first.
The bottom line is; is there anything I can do? I've already issued a refund so I don't expect to get my money back. I would just like to know if there is anything I can do to prevent this from happening again to someone else.
Here is the link to their feedback:
