I've been hearing viruses from TCC have been infecting other members PC's (who don't have Norton Anti-Virus) lately, and that's why they haven't been able to be active. How is progress on fixing the problem coming? Does anyone know the cause? If it gets fixed, site activity would probably pick up again...

Yeah, that's what I've been hearing mostly. I know Joe31 and CBWare's computers have been infected with the virus, so that's why they haven't been around...probably a lot of others as well.

i run scans everytime after im on here something needs to be done or members are going to keep dodging here

The issue has been addressed extensively as can be by Richard and the team. This topic has been discussed at length in different threads. We have done everything that is possible to this point.

We do not own the site, only that individual can take things further.

We recognize some folks have issues, use the appropriate virus protection software. That is all we can prescribe.

i havnt heard about this yet. wow sounds like a big deal! hopefully that "individual" can get the problem figured out so this site can become filled with people again.

Adware, its the ads! What ever you do, dont click highlighted words, They are Green, I have Norton, and at first norton was picking it up, now it seems to be gone, but the adware is still there, so be careful on what you open outside the main forum!

Also for those who dont have protection, Try AVG, you can use the free version of it, works fine for adware that is all over this site!

I use Firefox with an Add-Blocker add on, haven't had it show up for me (also use Norton for my AV). Did have it show up at work and get blocked by the Symantec AV here.

Fire fox works good too, I use it at work, other than the adware, I have no problems here on the site, If you protect your PC, you dont have problems anywhere on the web, including here, I looked up some free anti virus programs, if anyone needs help send me PM,

I use Firefox with AdBlock Plus on at home and mostly at work (there are a few things at work that are more compatible with IE and they insist on using it as the standard browser but I mostly use Firefox), I haven't had any of the problems people seem to be talking about.

They are right. Once in a while when you load this site something comes up. Luckily I have Norton, I forget what the attack is called.

It's a very nasty virus. I got it at work and it took out my machine. I had to rebuild because it is such an intrusive virus. At home using firefox and freeavg I don't get it but at work I get the pop up everytime. Luckily our virus definitions have been updated to block it but it is really bad.

The Virus is back, Norton is blocking it! just a heads up to the MODs, was getting Single Russian girl ads on the right of the site page!LOL!
