September was a great month! We added more members, had more posts, completed more transactions and started more transactions than during August. Plus, our Alexa ranking climbed throughout the month.

In fact, September 2005 was the busiest month ever across the TradingCardCentral.com web site - beating the previous record (July 2005) by 5%!

Look for lots of great things to come in October as we continue to grow!

Here you go:

"What is Traffic Rank?
The traffic rank is based on three months of aggregated historical traffic data from millions of Alexa Toolbar users and is a combined measure of page views and users (reach). As a first step, Alexa computes the reach and number of page views for all sites on the Web on a daily basis. The main Alexa traffic rank is based on the geometric mean of these two quantities averaged over time (so that the rank of a site reflects both the number of users who visit that site as well as the number of pages on the site viewed by those users). The three-month change is determined by comparing the site's current rank with its rank from three months ago. For example, on July 1, the three-month change would show the difference between the rank based on traffic during the first quarter of the year and the rank based on traffic during the second quarter."

Basically, it provides a measure of the number of visitors and page views on a site compared to all other sites on the Internet.

That's correct. Our traffic depends entirely on the number of visitors each day and the number of pages they look at while on the site.

However, Alexa data/rankings are based on a toolbar for your browser.

I've personally been using their toolbar for well over a year now and have not had any problems with it affecting my Web browsing, showing unwanted pop-up ads, etc. In fact, I've become somewhat "addicted" to using the related links feature to find other sites like the one I'm currently viewing.

I just wanted to share that we had the highest traffic ever on TradingCardCentral.com yesterday - beating the previous record (9/15/05) by just under 2%!
