20 mins in and USA are already down by a goal....this is a very very strong Czech team that has played together for a long time. Nedved in midfield is rated as one of the best midfielders in the world. Plus with Jan Koller, Milan Baros, Tomas Rosicky, and that Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech....they're gonna take some beating at the world cup. Some pundits have them going as far as the semi-finals.

Yes Mario. I see that this is a strong Czech team full of veterans. We caught a break with Koller's hammy pull there but the Czech's seem to have our number today.

Wow....final score....Czech Republic 3 - USA 0.....sad to say, but it was very one-sided. Rosicky was an absolute beast and scored 2 superbly taken goals. His first goal is a contender for goal of the tournament.

Yeah....that's gonna be another tough match. If they couldn't come remotely close to unlocking the Czech defence....no way they're gonna score against the Azzuri....unless players like Landon Donovan start showing alot more creativity, it's going to be a short world cup for the US team.

want to know my take?

GET REYNA OUT OF THE FREAKING LINEUP!!!!!! take his armband, pack his bags, put him on a plane. i'm a center-mid (attacking minded) and he does not have the speed to keep up with our now youthful roster, he lacks the fire that players like donovan, beasley, mastroeni, dempsey, etc. display. now i will say gooch screwed up on all three goals, but experience is the only way to learn...too bad it could cost us a cup run for 06. i haven't lost confidence, but it's a monumental task from here. you can't underestimate youth, passion, and desire. recall the '80 US Olympic Hockey Team. donovan showed nothing of himself, convey was flat out scared, beasley played the exact opposite of is style, mcbride of all players was the one the made me lose belief in a comeback during the game. normally any of his teams could be 12-0 down and he'd still be fighting and working and winning balls... he was almost nonexistent.

johnson was a great sub, just wasn't in the flow of the game and more than likely was feeling the pressure of the WC and the weight of a 2-0 scoreline. is brian ching healthy? he's a threat. where'd clint mathis fall off to?
