I was lucky enough to be picked as an extra in the movie Invincible coming out this Friday.I play a fan sitting up in the bleachers at an Eagles game. Most of the movie was shot at Franklin Field on The University OF Penn in Phila,Pa. where I was employed until I became disabled.Retired coach Dick Vermeil who's a friend was a big help in getting me the job.I was payed $250.00 a day plus free meals. This is something that I'll remember the rest of my days!

QUOTE(bob_TCC @ Sep 17 2005, 04:29 PM)
With all due respect, I'm not seeing where any of the comments were personal or putting anyone or TCGs down.  In fact, I believe snowblink had a genuine interest in how the games are played.  His 2nd post was likely due to the fact that his question has gone unanswered for 2-3 weeks which is quite uncommon here.

Personally, I generally know about these games from reading the various press releases and other things, but I've not played them.  So, I had hoped that someone like you who does play TCGs would have answered the original question.  In fact, when I noticed that you were responding to this thread earlier today, I actually was glad because I thought we were all going to finally learn more about them.

And, as you can see, your post hasn't been removed as you have the right to voice your opinion.  I just happen to not see it the same as you.   wink.gif

If I am missing a thread or comments that leads you to believe differently, please point me to it either here or in a PM.

Well from what I can see here it looks like the few of us that play these type of games are nothing but a laughing stock or an on going joke!

Some of the responses you got from the so-called true collectors in this group lead me to believe that may be this isn't exactly the place for us to be anymore? I for one don't want to be the blunt of others jokes or the source of a good laugh at my expense!

I think some of the so-called true collectors here need to grow up and respect what others collect and do! I no Bob will probably delete this so it dosen't make any so-called waves but I had to have my say!!

Thanks for all the good wish's. Games that count will start up again around March of 2006, until then we'll play for fun and to stay sharp. My second place trophy is really nice. It has two bronze figures grappleing. One Of Duke of the Joe Team and the other of Destro from Cobra. The trophy stands about 3 1/2 feet tall. I also got a box of booster packs.

Bob went down into the lockeroom here at TCC today and while looking for his box of C55 hockey cards, he came across this card that he had been saving for a special ocassion.  With the Hockey season about to start back up what better way to start it off then with a contest.

Eh!  Lace 'em up and get ready to take a shot at this contest!

The card up for grabs is autographed by _________?
Over the next week(s) I will give you clues as to who the player is, so check in every day to see what the next clue is.  Contestants will be limited to 1 guess per day.  The winner will receive ___________
's autographed card.  Good Luck!

Game On!

Clue #1:  I started my NHL career in 1988-89 can you guess WHO I AM???

Time for another update...

Current Alexa Traffic Rank numbers (updated 7/28/05):

NAXCOM - 6,377 (down)
Beckett - 7,346 (down)
SCS - 22,073 (down)
TCC - 23,368 (up)
Upper Deck - 42,045 (down)
eTopps - 46,438 (down)

Looks like only one site was up in the rankings this time.   biggrin.gif

Add to this the fact that we have 56 new members in just over the last 20 days plus the fact that Tuesday (7/26/05) broke the record for most traffic on the site yet again!  This is getting FUN!   biggrin.gif

Things are about to get even more interesting as well...   wink.gif
