Not sure I like the Monopoly again, as I felt it made UD complacent and put out less newer ideas/concepts until Panini got in the game and forced them to. Oh well not like we have a say in it as NHL/NHLPA does what they want:

Well that didn't last long, just hope this doesn't kill the Hobby! gonna miss them huge Patch's, hope UD takes a grasp at what Panini has done

Good and bad? Looks like Dwight's boycott worked, nice job!

I think Panini was better in the aspects of innovation, way better with cooler designs, better patches. UD just isn't the same horse she used to be or maybe she is the same old beaten down horse? Just my opinion (which doesn't matter to the NHLPA/NHL) but I was not impressed with either. I like the staple of UD S1/S2, but also enjoyed some of what Panini has had to offer. Getting kind of tired of the same groupings by UD year after year (SPA, SPx, CUP, Black Diamond, OPC, MVP). Offer us something new and innovative, that is affordable, try to recapture our interest, PLEASE! At least Panini has done that by trying different things like Luxury Suite and Prime and Playbook.

Also another plus for Panini was them honoring expired redemptions, so we pretty much back to a snowballs chance _____ of them honoring an expired redemption as it is a fluke when UD does something for you on one (if you have a few hours to wait on hold on the phone to even talk to someone, as I have had little to no luck trying to contact them via Email). Hopefully they not allowed to make a ton more products or it won't really solve the over-saturation problem that is happening in the Hobby and driving down values, but I am worried about that as I see by that link they bringing back MVP so they just may bring back a bunch of old products and not remove some of the current ones. As I think when they didn't have the Exclusive they were forced to be not so stale in their products, and having it again they may become complacent again.....time will tell if it is a good thing or potentially the final blow to a declining Hobby.

You know, I just realized one of the reasons I am not impressed with UD is that their jersey swatches always seem to be around the size of a dime. I was just noticing some of the cards out of the new Fleer showcase and cannot beleive that they can only spare dots of game used. I think the ones in UD S1 had bigger swatches (only marginally bigger, but still bigger).
