Gotta say the design and some of the jersey cards remind me of Prestige, very underwhelmed, NT has been better in previous years

Panini America partnered with Eastman Kodak Company to employ KODAK TRACELESS System for Anticounterfeiting to ensure that each prime material swatch in National Treasures is legitimate and can't be tampered with or altered and sold as authentic.

Each prime swatch of material will carry a unique and invisible marking that can be authenticated by Panini America through the KODAK TRACELESS System for Anticounterfeiting. Should any question arise as to the authenticity of any prime swatch, the owner is invited to send the card to Panini America for testing. The card will be authenticated and documented.

but what is that really going to do? ok so you buy that card on ebay, then send it in to find out its fake! did that really help stop the faking? NOOOOOO
it will only help if the seller sends it in before selling it! and that wont happen. because the seller doesn't care. they just are wanting to make money. and the seller most of the time is the one faking them in the first place get my point here!

And Panini takes 45-60 days to authenticate and Paypal chargeback time is way past as well as Ebay Feedback, so you can complain until you are blue in the face they will just say not our problem.

If they really wanted to anti-counterfeit put all the cards in a database online, that can be seen easily by all fans.

I have to say at least they are doing something. People we need to give and take. They will never be able to have a database with pictures of everything. Otherwise we would be paying $500 for a regular box of cards to cover all the time and money it would take to cover those expenses. You are just gonna have to do a little research to try and cover yourself which you should do anyways if you are going to add a big dollar card to your collection. At least now if you buy a box and pull a great looking patch card and want to sell it you can get it verified so you don't lose money when you decide to sell it. I would love a world with peace and no war, but that is just a dream. Sometimes it take little steps to get to the big steps!

I didn't think I would agree with you guys at first but when I saw the design I totally agree...the design of these cards looks just like the design of some of their mid-end products (Classics is what came to my mind). I also thought that the boxes they opened didn't even compare to last years product...too many current players. I am sure there will be some sick boxes of this stuff but I thought last year's design was nice and they should have kept it fairly close to that.

looks very much like prestige with some classics mixed in. I love the Barber auto card. Its #ed 24/51, Tracy is that his jersey number... I think so.... Come on already. You people produce sportscard magazines, shouldnt you know these things, especially if its your JOB!!!
