Things are pretty quiet here lately. Any ideas why?

There's plenty to talk about like the November 2nd election results, George Bush's book and media tour, Sarah Palin's TV show, Juan Williams, etc. etc.

I will sum it up really quick! People in office=dumb stuff to talk about! Topic over.

No I don't know. I always just said my peace and went on my way. People would get to talking with big words and about stuff I had no idea about, so there was no reason to respond. Plus I seen most of the topic more as a fight then a discussion! But that IMO. But sometimes I did enjoy reading some of the stuff.

Maybe because there are no disagreements amongst ourselves.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be supported by people with attitudes. Who's gonna do it? You? The Team has more responsibility here than you could possibly fathom. You weep for your petty arguments, and you curse the team members. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what we know - that TCC regulations, while tragic, probably strengthens this forum. And that the Team's existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, strengthens this forum. We know deep down in places you dont talk about in chat rooms and IMs, you don't want the Team in this forum, you need the Team in this forum. We use words like politeness, self-control, understanding. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent building something. You use them as a punchline. We have neither the time nor the inclination to explain ourselves to a member who logs on and posts under the blanket of the very forum the Team upholds, then questions the manner in which we uphold it. We prefer you said thank you, and went on your way. Otherwise, we suggest you pick up a keyboard, and stand to post! Either way, I don't give a baloney sandwich what you think you are entitled to!

Mayhap, those that perused this forum on
a regular basis in the past have grown
weary of the vitriol and angst that the
subject rouses.

Mayhap, they have been so demoralized
by the results of November 2nd that their
passion is simply used up.

Mayhap, their confidence in the system
and the citizen voters that ultimately run
it has evaporated as well.

and so I speculate.

I really don't get into politics since I am a government employment and i am not suppose to have a side in public but i am aloud to have a personal side, and my personal side is don't get involved. I like any president when January comes around. This year Obama is suppose to give the gov employees a decent raise for Cost of Living. When I get it I will tell you if I like him any more.

It better be more than 2 percent. Last year of Bush was 1.5 percent. I am hoping for a Clinton 5 percent COL raise
