I collect who I like, the worth of the cards doesn't really mean anything to me.

I don't collect because somebody might turn out to be an awesome player. I collect because they either play for the Bears or like the OP said, I like their attitude.

It was a tale of two halves. The first half the Bears looked bad on both sides of the ball, the second half they looked awesome. They need to get Mark Bradley more involved until Barrian gets back too. Bradley is a speedy guy like Barrian and can help to stretch the field a bit.

It sucks having Mike Brown out too. He is a huge part of the defense....

8-1!

QUOTE(cardsnstuffny @ Nov 8 2006, 12:59 PM)
I can send a Flat rate box of about 2000 various Bears cards. They would be from all years, up to 2006. Shipping would be about $9. PM me with an offer!!!

Anyone else? I have Broncos, Jets, Giants, Steelers, Patriots, Packers and Falcons also ready to go!!  I can also do other teams, but a Paypal deposit required before I start all that work!

PM sent sir.

It's actually very easy to set a site up, but like others have said, keeping it going can be a full time job.
Not from a maintenance standpoint, but just keeping traffic coming to your site.

There are a ton of CMSs out there these days, so all you really need is a host that allows PHP, Mysql, and maybe perl.

Check out e107.org for a god CMS that is more secure than the nuke type sites and less bulky.

A CMS is not the only way to go, of course, you can code by hand too.

I am also interested in common Bears cards from pre-1970 and post 1996. I'll take pretty much anything you have. I have so many cards missing from the last few years!

Paypal is preferred, but I will send cash through the snail mail if needed.

1. What will be the total completions by Chicago QB's? 22

2. What will the Margin of Victory Be? 14

3. What will be the total Rushing Yards By Tiki Barber 76

Tiebreaker: What will be the total combined Punts for both teams? 8

Quick Update. We had a small problem with shipping on these cards, but it seems to be sorted out. They should arrive this Saturday.

Well that seems to work. I added a couple of years to my beckett collection and then copied the text to a text file and imported it into the software. I have to tweak it a bit, but it is still far faster than doing it all by hand.

I am going through the same exact thing as the OP right now.
I want to log my entire Chicago Bears collection, but I have 5 large binders totally filled with cards. It's pretty much everything from 1995 back to 1972 and then quite a bit back to 1954 too.

I bought Sports Card Organizer Deluxe, but I have to go through and input each and every card by hand. It does have an import feature, but I don't have any place to import from.

Maybe Beckett will work for me too.

Having Paypal is a huge boon for people.

I wish more collectors here used it. I was able to pay one person $50 in a matter of minutes instead of the archaic way of sending money or a check through snail mail and having it take 3-4 days just to get the payment.
It saves time, it's safer and as long as you just send the cash as an "other" instead of for goods, it doesn't cost either party anything.

QUOTE(rikostan @ Oct 27 2006, 10:09 AM)
Just for clarity's sake. I wanted to mention that I understand this is not the entire team set as the Tommie Harris RC and the Bernard Berrian RC are missing, but we discussed this and I am happy with the 11 cards being sent.
Payment will be sent tomorrow morning. Thanks!

Joey, my sincere apologies. I forgot to send the cash out. It will be going out in the mail tomorrow monring though. Again I am very sorry.

Cards came in today! There were two extra cards outside of the team set. Thanks! I was surprised there wasn't an urlacher in that set, but looking back through the other team sets I have gotten lately, he seems to be missing from a few of them.

Bluegrass, Reggae, Punk, Rock, Pop, Old country... you name it. I have very ecletic tastes. I don't care for new R&B and I don't like most hip hop and rap, but that's about it.
