Christian showed up on ECW to challenge Jack Swagger live from Fresno.

The match will headline tonight's show. Wow what a downer!

In addition, T.J. Wilson of FCW debuted under the name Tyson, managed by Natalya

Not exactly the big splash I was expecting for his return. However, I do like Swagger and having Jack work with guys like Finlay and Christian will only make him better which improves the overall product. I wonder how long before Christian gets involved in the Hardy-vs-Hardy feud?

Tyson Kid looked good beating a GOOD Jobber (some Vietnamese guy name Nguyen...must be a 1st). I hope they let Tyson and Natalya grow into something as I think they have a great upside.

On the other hand, Christian looked like a "veteran" (vs "superstar") in the match against Swagger. I hope there are BETTER things for Christian rather than just an ECW title. I guess he fills the void that Matt left (srroy Big Dog Jamie Noble)

Tyson and Natalya, who are engaged, were supposed to be paired with DH Smith as "The New Hart Foundation" but Smith went to the Creative Team and pitched an idea for him to be a solo act. That ruffled some feathers and Smith remains in developmental while Tyson (who worked previously as TJ Wilson) is on the main roster now.

I hear every time DH is about to be put back on TV he does something stupid like open his mouth to pitch a new idea.

Christian in WWE is great, but on ECW? I missed the show because I normally do not watch the ECW program, and had the thought of "oh drat, I should have watched."

Sadly that thought only lasted a moment because it is only ECW, and I fear they will just give him a title push, probably win the title and be King of the Midcards once again in WWE.

This should have been Matt Hardy's role, but since Christian's return got leaked, Vince got mad and switched Matt and Christian around. So now we have brother vs. brother which I hope they do correctly this time, and Christian not on Raw. What I hope is that at least Christian is one of the ECW participants at Mania's Money in the Bank match.

That was my first thought also! I could also see Christian switching brands as part of the next WWE Draft after Wrestle Mania.

The draft is April 21st I believe. Christian could win the ECW title anyway and get drafted to another brand. They did that with Lashley last time, he got drafted and had to give up the ECW title.

At this point, it seems Vince is NOT SOLD on Christian. He thinks he no better than a mid carder. Michael Hayes came up with the original plan of Christian as the person attacking Jeff. But when time came closer to revealing the name, he sensed a strong vibe from everyone that Vince was totally negative on Christian, so he suggested the role reversals for Matt and Christian.

A lot of people thought Christian was going to be the one that ambushed Jeff. Hindsight being what it is, I'm glad they didn't go there. Christian didn't need to be a part of that drama with the Hardys and Edge again. He spent 3 years in TNA forging his own identity, won 2 World titles and some respect. If Michael Hayes got what he wanted, then all of that work would've been wasted.

What I see happening:

Christian loses to Jack Swagger on the 2/24 ECW. He beats Swagger in the rematch at Wrestlemania. 8 days later, he becomes the 3rd ECW champion to be drafted away while champion (after Lashley & Kane the last two years), and heads to Raw. The further away he is from Edge, the better off he is.

Christian needs to be in MITB. NO ECW Title match. Give that to Tommy Dreamer. Or Ricky O, or random other new guy in ECW.

Bringing Captain Charisma to ECW was a mistake. He was on the brink of Main Event status before he left WWE in the first place. I am sure he is just happy being away from WC... I mean TNA.

Hopefully this doesn't kill Christian's push by being on such a lackluster show.

Last night's Main Event between Swagger and Christian... was actually really good. It was a great back and forth match, with a well done end to the match.

Although he lost, I am hoping they will now start pushing Christian into a bigger spotlight.

On another note, JackSwagger is VERy talented and can perform extremely well in the ring. I feel ECW is safer for him as he is not ready to be put on another show. If he were on SmackDown, I can see him running for the US Title. If he is on Raw, I see him being buried. He has a lot of potential, and if ECW could bolster their roster with more younger talent and actually showcase them, ECW would be a better show to watch.

Lastly, I am sick and tired of the "Hey, Tommy won a match!" Routine. It bothers me, even though this was likely his idea anyway, which makes it worse that he would put himself down. Hopefully he wins the title at Mania.

Christian may be buried before he's pushed...that's Vince's MO of guys from other places (TNA, WCW).

Swagger is very similar to Lashley...he needs ALOT more seasoning before going to RAW. SD is ideal, AT SOME POINT (not now), because they can edit things for TV to look better. He needs to work on his promos!

Sure there has been, but they don't get the red carpet roled out for them...instead it's a bury, a slow repackage and if they are charismatic enough to overcome the odds, then they re-establish themselves.

I mean Matt Sydal didn't just fly onto ECW/RAW. He sent a relatively "short" stint in OVW/FCW for 9 months.

Gail Kim...we'll see...she started off strong in her 1st run with WWE, but was dropped soon thereafter...Too athletic is my guess. She was on top in TNA, but instead of debuting her while she was "hot"...they waited sooo long.
