Hey everyone, this is Don at Sports Showcase. First, I would like to thank everyone who worked with my wife Lea completing all of my old transactions. I really put here on the spot, and having no experience with TCC, with the help of you people she did great.
To give everyone the story of what happened and an update; Back in the Marine Corps, in Desert Storm, I busted my right should up really bad. VA operated on it. Back in 2007, my right shoulder froze up, and they sent me to Morgantown, WV to have a complete re-construction of my right shoulder, in which this meant taking out shoulder parts and replacing them with cadaver parts.
Back in the begining of the year, around May, 2011 I guess I pulled a muscle in my right shoulder or pinched a nerve. My whole right hand and arm went purple and I was having problem moving my right leg. My body would also react like I was get electricuted. The doctors was also worried, because my blood pressure has skyrocketted. They sent me to Cleveland, OH,,,,Morgantown, WV,,, and to Cincinnati, OH, and could not find what was going on. Finally, back in Morgantown they had me see a nerve speciallist. What was going on was that my body was rejecting my cadaver parts. It was hard to believe do to the past operation being almost 4 years ago. The doctor said that there is no time limit. Kind of like someone getting a Heart Replacement and so on. The doctor tried different medicines and procedures, but nothing worked. Finally, they started about 5 weeks ago putting me on Lyrica, which is what seizure patients take. So far, everything has been inproving. The purple has gone away and I have started slowly losing the nerve shocks that were going through my body.
Jeremy, TCC Goskins and another great fan actually talked me in to doing a card show with them last weekend in Zansville, OH. I think I did pretty good. Of course Jeremy will tell you that I was cranky.
I hope to be re-opening my card shop soon. I just had to temporarily close it due to be gone all the time. I am still not allowed to drive due to the nerves going crazy, but I think it will be soon that they allow me.
Again, I wanted to thank everyone for the patience of my wife squaring everything away, and hopefully I will be back on full time to TCC doing trades and Box Breaks again...

thanks TK and Steve! It was really nice to see you two respond. If you ask around, I do not have too many friends. But, the two that I really consider friends are the first two to respond to my post.
This has been a long battle and is still not over. I really know what Retired Veterans use to tell me when I was still Active Duty how VA treated them. I use to just shrug it off and say, "It could not be that bad." I now know how it feels to be a Retired Veteran, and I now know how the VA treats you.

thanks Ross. It has been a long voyage. I just appreciate my wife more now. You could not even guess what I have put her through.

Welcome back; hopefully that shoulder doesn't bother you again. Had they considered using "different" cadaver pieces - or would it had rejected those as well?

they do not know. they are just trying to medicate the problem right now.
