Saw on some chicago websites and news reports that a deal is being worked on that would be a little something like this:

Angels get:Paul Konerko
White Sox get:Adrian Gonzalez, Gary Mathews Jr. and that huge contract
Padres get:minor leaguer that the Sox get from Angels, along with 2 or 3 more prospects...one will be pitching Dan Hudson, along with any two of the following:Tyler Flowers ©, Jordan Danks (OF), Dayan Viciedo (3B/1B/DH), and Brent Morel (3B)...BECKHAM NOT INVOLVED


From what the reports I saw are saying...this deal just needs the right prospects to get finished. As a pretty good Sox fan I LOVEEEE this trade, especially if the Angels eat up a pretty big portion of Mathews contract like the news said. Prospects are never a sure thing, while Gonzalez is teh real deal. A lefty power bat with Quentin Beckham and Alexei? Along with a rotation of Peavey, Buehrle, Floyd, Danks...I am lovinnnn that

Haven't heard this, but the Cardinals were involved in something similar to this last year and nothing came of it. I wouldn't get my hope up, but that would be a great deal for the Sox!
