Here's the thread for the May 2008 OFFICIAL TCC Baseball Group Box Break.

Here is a list of teams and the members who held them in the April break.
I will make adjustments to this list if teams change, and as people verify with me that they want to be in the May break, and as they pay for their teams.

Those who participated last month have first dibs at renewing their team purchase or choosing another team. So, if you participated in the April break, let me know what you would like to do.

Here are the rules:

Cost: $30--this covers the cost of the boxes and the shipping and supply costs.

The boxes we break will depend on member input and how much money we get. The more members, the more money, the more boxes (or the more higher end the boxes can be).

You can buy as many teams as you want, the first is $30 and each additional team is $25.

How the remaining teams will be distributed will depend on the number of teams left. Once that is determined we can discuss again how those teams will be distributed. Generally we just random off cards from those teams.

Here are some "decision rules," so there is no confusion.

If a card features more than one player from different teams, then there will be a random drawing between the owners of the teams featured on the card. The owner who is chosen by the random drawing will receive the card.

If a card features a player in a different jersey than the team labels on the card, the card will go to the team of the jersey the player is in.

Game used and auto cards from teams who are not chosen during a particular month will be randomly awarded amongst all members of the break.

If a card features a player in a college uniform, it will be awarded to the team the player was drafted by.

If a card features a player in a minor league uniform, it will go to the team that the minor league club is an affiliate of.

The rest of the cards that are from teams who are not chosen during a particular month will be randomly distributed amongst all participants in the break.

Might have to drop one of my teams. Don't really want to, but the MOJO has been dry and funds are getting tight.

I will stay in May but as I say I might drop to one team. I need a bit of time to think about it.

I am back in for this month. Another case sounds great! I would like to keep the Red Sox and Dbacks. I will give up to Dodgers. I might pick up another team by the deadline depending on cash flow.

Looks like Houston, LA Dodgers, and NY Mets. Not sure if Jeremy is going to drop the astros, and if anyone wants the mets they can have them. Looks like 14 ppl in 100% 2 spots are being held untill pick a case or group of boxes

with the 14 thats only 350...not sure we can get a case with that. Even if Maple19 stays in, captkirk42 keeps both teams and I keep the mets only gives us 425. Not sure if we can get a case for that.

I don't think we can get a good case with that. We need to get those other members to verify. I'll try to get some pms out later this evening. Feel free to contact them yourself if you have time.

I got that Mike was only in if we do a case or a nice group of boxes, Captkirk said at the time that he might drop a team and at the time you only one team in red . Trying not to get any hopes up.

Have you heard thing about cases that we might be able to do?

It's hard to say if I want to join. I don't know what product you are doing. I don't want to pick a few teams that don't hardly have hits. If I take 2-3 spots, will that give you an idea of what product we could afford? In a perfect world I would take the Yankees, Royals, and Cardinals. But they are all taken. So if you could give me an idea of what products you are looking at then I'll let you know if im in.

Premier
Sweet Spot 08 and 07 have been hit or miss
Heroes have been hit or miss
Ultimate has been ok think we have only done 06 and 07
09 topps Jumbo was a nice boxes but too much base since we have done it already
07 Elements seems like you will have a great box or a dud... extreme hit or miss

I think 08 Triple Threads is a bad idea.

Heroes is a decent product and SPX has always been good to us. Shawn said he might be able to get us a case of Premier, but we'll need more than the $550 we spent on the Exquisite Case last month to get it.

I'll pm him and see what he can do for us and get back to you guys.
