Great Idea...

though mine's been buffering for the last 15 minutes on broadband so I've lost patience. Are you sure screentoaster is the best site ?

Can you possibly host directly on Openchecklist ?

(I have some time this Xmas to look into things so let me know if you need help)

Dumping all my cards from 1985-1999 that have a book value of less than 25 cents each and making room for more pre 1980 and GU/autographed cards.

crikey !

you have to admit ..

Sting rays have only killed 2 other people in the last 100 years ...

That's becuase only two people were silly enough to ride them like a croc when they have a dagger like tail that can pierce through someone's chest !

.. good guy .. good for Austrailian culture and the environment .. sad to see him go .. but ...

mess around that much with animals that have killer natural defense mechanisms .. and one of them is bound to get the best of you !

welcome .. great stuff !!

i've been playing fantasy baseball for a long time in the US .. and since moving to the UK have been involved in premier league football (soccer) ...

there is a great cross-over between people who collect cards and people who play fantasy sports something you will definitely find here.

I used to work on Wall Street in NY and take the train through the World Trade center every day.

I left the US on Sept 9th 2001 to go traveling abroad for a year and was in London on Sept 11 to watch the horror on TV. I had some former co-workers that were in one of the towers and didn't make it out.

I currently live in London and was here on July 7th last year .. on a train at the same time as the bombings - and head/saw smoke from the bus that was blown up.

It is really scary to think that there are people out there, that believe they will go to heaven in a life of bliss (40 virgins and all that) if they kill themselves in a way that causes mass destruction to innocent people .. just because whose people live in a democraticaly free country and their leaders happen to go by Bush or Blair and care more about industry, big oil, and christianity then the 2,000 year old religious bickering of the middle east.

yes .. I am still scared (the latest bomb plots on planes from Heathrow and the 23 people arresed just highlighted it) ..

I have yet to see United 93 .. I want to .. but am afraid I might have more nightmares than after I saw the exorcist ...

shoud we face our fears directly .. one .. or five years later ... or should we try to avoid them ...

good question ...

but I think, tonight, I'm going to avoid it for a little while lonnger .. by building up my card collection ... and changing my pitching rotation on my fantasy baseball team. have to enjoy live ..

despite the religious extremeists who think they will become famous in valhalla for blowing me up !

I'd rather be warned and face the floods .....

I can't vote in this one -

(personal opinion below - not representative of TCC, OC, or anything else)

Bush is an Idiot Puppet leader to US corporate interests and religious right. He even has to ASK CONDI if he can go to the Bathroom durning a press conference !

Hilary - Democrats are clutching at straws for a leader who people can stand by and say "She's not Bush" - who the heck is Hilary ? - besides the woman who stood by her man while he stained an intern's dress ?

The Middle East is a very complicated region with a history of THOUSANDS Of YEARS religious bickering. The USA only cares about them because THEY HAVE OIL - WHY DONT YOU GET OUT OF THE MIDDLE EAST AND BUILD MORE FUEL EFFICIENT CARS !! (or will that just spoil the millions of family oil $$$ that you get to spend on your 2000 acre ranch .. while millions of people in the US are HUNGRY AND NEED DECENT EDUCATION AND HEALTHCARE !!)

get real.

Anyone else following the Premier league this year ?

The last few years, have been in a fantasy league with friends and family through the premier league wen site:

http://fantasy.premierleague.com

last two years, my wife has won the fantasy league - last year upsetting the 8 others in the league (all guys)

Its free if you are interested .. and very well run salary-cap type fantasy game !

This will be the 5th full season since I've been in London .. I'm growing to like it slightly more each year. This year there's added incentive because the team we live closest to, Watford (in North west London suburbs) got promoted. (for those not familiar with the Premier league, its 20 teams, and each year, the worst few get demoted to the AAA equivalent, while the winners of the best minor league get promoted).

anyway .. rooting for Watford ..

neat site .. thanks ..

gotta love that $15,000 book value of your collection ..

now how much really would you get if you sold it on eBay tomorrow ?

but who cares .. its just the thought that you are sitting on $15,000 worth of DVD's is cool.

Ok ..

I admit .. I'm a huge fan of the UK Apprentice show (version with Alan sugar, Owner of the Spurs soccer team instead of donald Trump)..

so when I heard that last season's winner, Michelle, was pregnant with the Arrogant Loser's baby .. I had to share the gossip !

Article from the Daily Mail

now that's great entertainment news ...

...

now back to your regular trading card and american reality TV programming ..

thanks ... I think

I've been using some of the new changes for months, so forgot what the old way to enter cards, etc was laugh.gif

The changes should make it really easy to go through a box of cards and get them all into OC .. also the "My tools" section will have most of what you are looking for

If I see something that I might like and the opening price is low .. I usually put in a tiny bid .. max about £1 or so more than the opening price.. sometimes, you never know .. and get a good deal. Its also easier to watch an item when you have a bid on it .. and you can get emails when outbid.

If I really want something I make sure I'm around at the last second .. too many people wait until less than a minute left to make their intentions to bid on something known.

QUOTE(tysingleton34 @ Aug 13 2006, 09:10 PM)
I was thinking maybe we could do a big graded card sale. Where like everyone would send there cards that they want to get graded to 1 person, and then he could send them all in, at 1 time. Then we could get them graded cheaper, and everyone could chip in just a little for shipping, and it would save everyone shipping charges also. Do you think this would work?

Also if you would be interested in running it PLMK.
*

OK .. everyone send me their best card and $8 .. and I'll get them graded for you wink.gif

unsure.gif

I know there are some economy of scale benefits, but I guess it depends who and if they are trustworthy ... also an extra expense because that person will have to ship the graded card back.
