ok... i buy a complete box.
what's next?
keep the box, keep the folding paper of each pack of card?
to open a pack... you put gloves?
you don't touch any card directly with your finger?

what's the procedure? blink.gif

thanks!

Hi.
Well if you wana keep the box (empty) and the wrapers thats up to you. They tend to take over after a while. I usually keep the box if it has a player on it i like or a team i collect.
You dont need gloves just make sure you dont mishandel the cards take care of them while opening the pack.

The rest is up to you make it FUN not stressful biggrin.gif

I collect Mainly Jared Odrick, Cameron Wake & Oronde Gadsden

Just be sure not to damage any card, and the rest is just to enjoy the break! Gloves aren't necessary.

I don't see saving the wrappers unless it is really old product, those wrappers are worth something (but then the boxes are expensive). As others have said just have fun with it, I'm not aware of anyone that opens them with gloves on wink.gif. Good luck on your box smile.gif

I think it is much more important to consider the environment in which you open the pack. Humidty should not exceed 50% with barometric pressure no higher than 36. Temperature should remain steady (no fluctiations) at 76 degrees and of course, no wind. You should also have a silica gel pack within 3 feet of the cards at all....

You know one suggestion I would have is to be sure to wash your hands with soap and water. The card surfaces on some releases are really slick (for example any Bowman/Topps "chrome" surfaces) and will pick up fingerprints very very easily if your fingers are oily! Other than that, just tear away and be mindful of the card corners when pulling the cards out of the pack, whatever method you use!

I keep a wrappper if the player is in my PC......and I use the box for storage.
I'd wear gloves if you are opening a vintage pack or something high-end.......other wise just enjoy.

A word to the wise - put your drink away from your card sorting area. This was a hard lesson learned. I had a full glass of Dr. Pepper spilled on a bunch of cards..........NOT A PRETTY SIGHT!!!!!!

Ouch. For those who have to have their Dr. P. within reach, use the bottles and keep it capped between swigs.
