The only non-sports card I have in my collection are a few motorcycle cards, and some horse racing cards and hotrod cards from the 90's. I also have a few packs of the YU-GI-OH cards. But don't tell anyone ok. LOL. Sci-fi cards are cool. I haven't seen any I would go out looking for. I like monsters like in the magazine Heavy Metal. If there cards like those I might collect them.

When I was young (born in 1972) and had pocket change to spend on things like candy and trading cards, I remember times when I would buy 1 pack of topps baseball cards for every 1 pack of cards from the popular movie of the time - Star Wars, Jaws, Raiders of the lost Ark, ET, even Grease .. and I remember my dad would tell me that the movie cards were worthless, encourage me to collect more baseball and basketball cards and keep them in good condition. So with movie cards I thumb-tacked to my wall, taped them to my mirror and stuck the insert stickers all over to decorate my kid/pre-teen room in a way I though was cool. While the sports cards I kept neatly in boxes and plastic pages. probably some of the best advice my dad ever gave me. -Jim

QUOTE(snowblink @ May 24 2005, 07:08 PM) Your mentioning this reminds me, I've had some inkling to grab a box of random hockey cards and do a wall in my basement...haven't decided how best to affix them tho... thumbtacks and tape on the back of the card are not the way to go If you care about the cards at all and don't want to ruin them ... I would suggest putting them in top-loaders (hard plastic cases) first and sticking the case to the wall. Or Putting the cards in soft penny sleeves and then arrange the sleeves in photo or poster frames and fix with tape or glue. I've seen some cool things done that way. If they are vintage cards, I would also cosider sunlight and fading before hanging them up on a wall. But probably not much sunlight in a basement to worry about. -Jim

Have a different price list for the sets and I think you might find it closer to what these sets go for on ebay Star Wars Series 1 set $35-40 Series 2 set $30 Series 3 set $30 Series 4 set $30 obscene #207 will run $5 -15 (this lately has been going up to $30) Series 5 set $$25-30
ESB Series 1 set $20-25 Series 2 set $20-25 Series 3 set $20-25
ROTJ Series 1 set $25 Series 2 set $20-25(this price is probably on the low side since the stickers are harder to find) If you ever get another offer of $1000 take it!! A auction ended today on ebay that had over $2000 NSU book and it went for $200-250.
