Who knows what he will deliver on the field, but I was thrilled by this pick just because of the kid's story.
http://myronrolle.com/I'm someone who has always believed in the importance of academics and doing well in school; this guy is an amazing athlete as well as an exceptional student. Recently he received the Rhodes scholarship, one of the most prestigious academic scholarships available (on a related note, I discovered I MIGHT be eligible for this myself but I'm not certain about the study-abroad stuff). Rolle is also a very young philanthropist; in 2009 he started The Rolle Foundation to "benefit children and families in need" throughout the world. According to Wikipedia, he plans to open a free health clinic in his home country of the Bahamas.
Another thing about Rolle: as well as an NFL player, he eventually hopes to be a neurosurgeon. As many of you know I was operated on in 2005 for a benign brain tumor....so the neurosurgeon thing is pretty cool in my opinion.
